So which song do you enjoy playing on DJ Hero 2 alot? as for me I don't know why but I love playing Get Busy vs Axel F, especially the end to it, makes me laugh.
On this site, you really shouldn't go bumping 4-month old threads unless you really have something important to say. Saying something random like that will get you in trouble, but you should know that, If you know, you know, if you don't, too bad. Also, i thought this was the thread about the DJ Hero/Guitar Hero Toys R' Us deal, not the actual DJ Hero 2 thread

It's not like me to bump a 2 month old thread, but i thought this needed to be brought up just because it gives a bit of hope that there could be a DJ Hero 3 in the horizon, with the challenge albeit that licensing the music for the next game would be tough for the developers to do, especially with the hiatus going around.
DJ Hero 3 ideas "on ice" include Dual-Turntable mode dev reveals.
It's not much but it basically outlines a possible "Dual Turntable" mode for Expert play, kind of like Expert+ on Guitar Hero for an added challenge. Interesting
To be a little bit on-topic: With no sign of either game being updated or renewed anytime soon, TheHeroFeed has teamed up with Activision to create "Hero Community Nights". Each month within a weekend, you basically play online with other Hero players either in Guitar Hero or DJ Hero or any "Hero" title and just play online, but during these nights you have the chance of winning prizes, swag, and even free games from Activision. Click Here for more details.
Eeeeeyup, that's pretty much about it really.

@Lirodon: Was that supposed to be sarcastic or do you really not want to see that happen? Because chances are both of those songs are 70% sure of being in the DJ Hero 3 song list unless the 3rd game goes completely underground...which isn't bad but you know how the general music rhythm population is with having "mainstream" music in music rhythm games nowadays. We either want this, this and this but NOT this and that, oh but this would be nice to have even though it doesn't compliment the game at all.
@Ryan: This is a must, in fact i solemnly wish that if a 3rd game was made, that they could actually incorporate a BOSS song system and have this song as an encore song or final song for a Skrillex setlist in the game. Never gonna happen but, damn would LOVE to play a song like that, especially dual-platter mode

I haven't played DJ Hero in a long time, and I think that songs from Ultra Records would be absolutely amazing for an upcoming songlist. A more-than-perfect example of a song would be Stereo Love by Edward Maya. Hell, put in some Steve Aoki and Duck Sauce! (Barbra Streisand mix would be fucking sweet)
The Empire mode on DJ Hero 2 is amazing and should be revamped/revived for the next release, and should include DJ's like Skrillex, DJ Craze, LigOne, Goldie (yes I said Goldie, wanna fight about it?) Kaskade, to name a few.
This is just me throwing some ideas out there.

That part was sarcastic, but DJ Hero 2 was an excellent game, simply because it has one of the better soundtracks I've seen in a music game - music that "my" generation can actually connect with.
While I'm pretty sure the probability of a Party Rock Anthem mashup on a theoretical third version would be 3 to 1 (cause well, its popular and all), I agree, there are some way better songs out there that could be right at home on there.

From what the developers of DJ Hero have done from DJ Hero -> DJ Hero 2 was take in a lot of fan suggestions for not just the "age" of the song but also the style of songs to appear for the next game. When DJ Hero came out it was LOADED with many old school hip hop, rap, and R&B songs along with a few rock tracks (for the GH vs. DJ side...which utterly flopped) and only but a few techno/electronica tracks (Daft Punk, Paul Van Dyk, one Tiesto track, Eric Prydz, and a few others) with a few current and old names like Gwen Stefani, 50 Cent, Rihanna, Black Eyed Peas, Gorillaz, and a few others.
Fans asked for more "current" tracks (within 2008 to 2010) as well as more techno and house music from world renowned DJ's, that's where we get Deadmau5, David Guetta, Tiesto for that piece of the pie with tracks from their own respective albums, with the majority of the tracklist consisting of current "club" hits with a pinch of old school classics and even some exclusive first appearance tracks from some artists (Speed Rail was premiered first in DJ Hero 2 before becoming a download in Juno). The DLC for this game was no exception, Pendulum tracks from their Immersion album, Linkin Park DLC with mixes from Diplo and a song from their Reanimation album, Ultra Music Hits Pack which featured current Ultra Music 2011 tracks, as well as some old school tracks (both popular and indie), no wonder this tracklist won the VGA's 2010 award for Best Soundtrack.
Since the hiatus, many fans have suggested what the most current trend in clubs and now mainstream is: dubstep.
If things go the way they are, we may expect Skrillex, Justice, Nero, Steve Aoki, Afrojack, and other DJ's to make appearances in the next version along with maybe a few returning DJ's for good measure. The plans for a "dual-platter" mode might suggest that DJ Hero 3 could be geared more towards the competitive side of the game rather than it's previous years as being a "fun party" game with DJ Hero and then a "create your style" game with DJ Hero 2. All in all this could be an amazing game if FSG plays their cards right, if they don't this game will never continue, which is kinda sad since it never really got much spotlight when it had the potential of being a really good competitive game.

This is one HELL of a deal, wish it was for the PS3 or 360 though, but whatever
