I uploaded my simfiles for this week. One of them is Venus by Lady Gaga. Just letting y'all know that it fits the theme, according to Silverhawke (just in case there's any confusion or whatever).

So I don't think I'll have a file this week. I was working on a file for robin, and I completed the Expert chart. So I went to make the Difficult chart and thought I just copied the Expert chart to Difficult but I ended up overwriting my Expert chart instead and now I don't want to remake the chart.

Also don't really want to play any of the simfiles from last week either. It's ok though since no one liked mine anyway

Edit: nvm I actually found an almost-complete version in the recycle bin.

I haven't got a song for the Mother Nature theme so I can't participate this week. I'll try to vote and give comments though!

My first SC15 file! This song came from IIDX EMPRESS CS, but has never come out of EMPRESS.
The reason that =9 is that the song is in 24ths, apparently, so it's harder to time. I started stepping this not knowing that this song is in 24ths, so it's a pleasant surprise (for me at least).

This was not a clever song pick in my opinion, the song is long, repetitive, and I had little to no inspiration while making this chart...
Well, I hope next week I can choose a better song.

I totally knew it was overkill and too much when I posted it, I even commented in the initial posting that I knew it was far too much. Honestly, this only happens every 10-20 charts I make, usually they are completely reasonable. In my defense for this one, I had three choices - No challenge and feel bored after Heavy was complete, have a super easy challenge that was very reminiscent of Heavy, or doing something ridiculous and creative to give the file a unique twist which utilized the fun 24th swing that caught my attention when I first heard the song.
Honestly, I think this and End on a Hard Note/Rainbow Road are the only ones I've made excessively hard, and they were all sim comp files xD This is the only one where I chose the song personally though ^.^


All that being said, thanks for the opinion and point(s), and I thank you a million as well for considering more than just the challenge - That's the spirit of the competition right there - actually judging the work done as a whole and not off a single first impression!

So far the most files I've had to judge in a really busy week so yeah. Out of these 46 files a lot of these were good so can't say I'm not thrilled at the prospect of having only 15 points to all of them. I'll try and get something done for Week 3.

Well, I can see your reasons...but I'd recommend you to make the chart on a Edit difficulty. I think people usually go for the Challenge chart if there's one and, since Challenge existed, everyone voted basing with that.


I didn't say this before because I was on a hurry but I wanted to thank Astroman, Pandemonium and chewi for what they did: the first two for the honorable mention and the 2 points (thank you guys xP) and chewi for pointing out the audio quality....in all honesty, I actually haven't felt the audio was bad. I guess my speakers are fooling me, lol

I'm still kicking myself for not finishing my sim for the first week >.> I literally just had Standard and Basic left to make and before I knew it, it was week 2 already. Ah well... maybe I'll hold onto it if it'll fit a theme later on in the competition.

I also couldn't think of a song for this week until again, near the very end of the week... hopefully I'll have better luck during week 3? Maybe? (I also need to get around to downloading these files and playing them... man am I going to be busy)
