I dont get how this how it says ''International'' but the only news we got is that its being released in North America also same with the rest of ddr 09/10
But it's likely that it's going to be released elsewhere. Seeing as there's been talk of a Spring 2010 release in Europe (check DDR:UK for a thread by someone from Konami's PR company for the EU release), and it would be unthinkable for an NA and EU release to not reach Japan.Post #22 · Posted at 2009-09-27 10:15:34pm 14.9 years ago

Hope this time they add widescreen compatibility. I hate the fact that DDR X AC was in a widescreen cabinet but both CS versions didn't even got the option to turn wide...

Me too, since no one fucking bothered to play it or record it at E3...or anywhere else it has been shown

Probably not because X AC ran on a different engine than the CS versions...unless they actually did some work and made X2 a port of the AC engine...yeah right.
You will have progressive scan available though!

The songlist on X2 is so random to me.... Viva La Vida? Pork And Beans? Feel Good Inc.? Really, how are these "dance songs"?

Also, I really want to know what that song sounds like.
Judging from the name, probably some 3rd rate "emo" crap.

Yeah, DDR should be limited to one genre. I totally agree.

I'm not saying that, what I mean is, it just doesn't fit, eh well it's just me.

I TOTALLY understand what you mean. I think that there's simply no substitute for Dancemania-like material, since that's the kind of music that DDR was made for back then in 1998. It's been 11 years since that, music tastes/preferences have (SADLY) changed.

I think they are concentrating on more mainstream music because of higher profile games like Rock Band/Guitar Hero. I also think it might have something to do with "Dance Hero" being trademarked by Activision. If that game is coming out, I'm sure it'll have some big names in it. There is plenty of dance music in the new DDR games too. Such as Space Dance, Just Dance, I Know You Want Me. Stuff like "Pork & Beans" and "VIva La Vida" are just as "danceable" as say Tribulations from HP2. I think we could have possibly seen more dance remixes the licenses if Konami decided to not use the music videos for each of the licenses this time around. Again, I think they are doing that to compete against other music games, like Singstar. In fact, the 360/PS3 interface looks a lot like a Singstar PS3 game.
I actually really enjoy the licenses this time around. I think we'll get plenty of euro-style dance KOs from the 150 promised DLC. If those are exportable to the next DDR iteration, that would make things even better for future games in the series.

Yeah, I think the licenses this time around are good as well. I think some people just get hung up on the fact that they are mainstream and throw a fit.

There's nothing wrong with having mainstream music in DDR to be honest. It's most likely gonna increase the popularity of it better than any previous mix did, so it's not necessarily a bad move on KONAMI's part.

Why can I imagine the EU release having the same as the NA one but just minus a few songs? Because I can't see anyone over hear knowing about Juanes. Konami, gives us some Mylene Farmer and we'll forget SN2.
