There seems to be a problem with the mp3s for the simfiles in DDRMAX 2 (USA PS2). Every time I try to play them in Windows Media Player, it says that it doesn't recognize the file format, or that the codec required for the files wasn't installed properly. None of the files have ID3 tags, and I have a hard time loading them up in any music software program.
If anyone could look into this (maybe fixing the audio files, or switching them around for uncorrupted data of the same song), this would be nice.

This is actually a bug in WMP where it cannot read compliant IDv3 tags but can read broken IDv3 tags.
I believe foobar2000 has some kind of function to write broken tags just so WMP can read them...

None of them will run in any other media playing program, though.
EDIT: Even Audacity is giving me flak. "Try using Import Raw". Well, I did. Nothing but noise.

Not sure what you're doing, but I just downloaded it for myself, it works fine:

I just put them into foobar, and it fixes the audio file?
I have no idea how these things work. ;_;

1. Drag the files to foobar2000.
2. Select all of them.
3. Right click -> Tagging -> MP3 Tag Types.
4. Untick ID3v2 and tick APEv2.
5. Click OK.
6. Right click -> Tagging -> MP3 Tag Types.
7. Untick APEv2, tick ID3v2, tick Override ID3v2 revision, select v2.3.
8. Click OK.
9. Done.
That's how I got it to open with WMP, what a pain in the ass...

Hmm... I'll try it out...
I'll fail miserably in the process, but I will try it out.
EDIT: Oh hey, it worked.
But, what about the files contained with the songs in the database. Surely I wasn't the only one who noticed this, and I know I won't be the last. Any way these could be fixed so people like me don't come into the future and ask about it?

Too much work to be honest and by rebuilding the headers it messes up every single offset.

I didn't take that part into consideration.
My apologies toward everyone. I was simply clueless on this situation, and I didn't mean any harm.
