I don't get what those rankings mean. Can you elaborate on that?

It's not in BMUS.
See, in all the Japanese IIDX releases, there is a class mode that's very similar to expert mode.
What happens, is there are courses that rank from 10th Kyu - Kaiden. 10 Kyu being the easiest, Kaiden the hardest, here's the list-
10th Kyu
9th Kyu
8th Kyu
7th Kyu
6th Kyu
5th Kyu
4th Kyu
3rd Kyu
2nd Kyu
1st Kyu
1st Dan
2nd Dan
3rd Dan
4th Dan
5th Dan
6th Dan
7th Dan
8th Dan
9th Dan
10th Dan
Kaiden
Basically, each course consists of four pre-selected songs and all you have to do to achieve the rank is finish the course. However, the course has the "Hard" modifier on (Lose when bar reaches 0%) and does not fill back up between songs. Basically, you have to go 4 songs in a row without draining your bar.
The 7th dan course consists of-
1st song - Xepher [7]
2nd song - V [7]
3rd song - Scream Squad [7]
4th song - Aurora [7]
So, all I did was pass all 4 songs without getting down to 0% on the Groove Gauge.
It's pretty simple. ;)

Oh ok. I get it now.
They most likely took it out of BMUS because it isn't in english.

Yeah, probably.
I'd say if the hardest song you passed is Presto [7], then you're probably around 2nd-3rd Dan.

Yes.
If you can beat Kaiden, you're like, an IIDX master. The Kaiden course always consists of the 4 hardest songs in whichever IIDX game you're playing. Incredibly difficult. All 12 star songs.
The 7th dan course consisted of songs that are all 10 stars.

Damn. That's pretty insane! For the past month I've been practicing on the song V on Hyper mode. I feel the muscles burning calories! Still failing but I'm failing at higher percentages now.

Ugh...V...
Whenever I play that song, my arm stiffens up and starts hurting, just because I'm playing V, because that never happens with any other song. XD
I hate that possessed song...at least, I hate playing it...I love listening to it. XD

Is that pain in the arm that's pressing the buttons in the middle of the forearm? Because that's where I feel that pain.

No, it's just, as soon as the song starts before the notes even come...BAM!!...my arm hurts like crap, and as soon as the last note passes by...BAM!!...my arms fine. XD
It's very strange...

Now THAT's weird. I also find it weird that the word weird is an exception to the "i" before "e" rule.

Haha.
Same here.
My legs pretty much do the same thing my arms do on V whenever I even try to attempt DDR, I am just so bad at that game.
Though, I've never tried it on an arcade machine with the matrix bar...maybe I'd do a bit better using that...

ugh, that bar is a nuisance to me. I can honeslty say that I've never used it. I've seen videos on YouTube of people playing doubles while holding the bars, and it doesn't look appealing. I remember holding on to the bar to make an attempt to pass Paranoia Survivor Max on Oni single, but failed. I tried again without the bar and I got a whole lot further than holding the bar.
I'm guessing that you have to learn how to hold the bar in order to use it.

I'm not sure, when I'm playing DDR, the problem I have is that I can't move both my legs to 2 arrows, then move them both back to 2 different arrows without just losing balance/footing. I figure, if I just lean on that bar the whole time and just move my legs northwest/east and southwest/east, it may be a bit easier.
Ah well, I gotta get to a DDR machine first, and the closest good one is in the same arcade the IIDX machine is at. XD

If balance is your problem you should balance on one foot and see how long you can stay on one foot.
I've never had a problem with balance or coordination, thanks to marching band!

Well, growing up, I was always in music classes in school, and about 3 years ago, the church that I attend is the home to a Christian Contemporary group called "Stronghold." I became real close friends with all of them and I did play in the band with them for a while.
In case you're wondering, I play Keyboard/Piano. XD

I envy you. Being a brass player in the marching band, if you know one brass, you know them all basically.8) But I specialized in Baritone/Euphonium and Bass Trombone!

That's aweseome that you can play one and know them all. XD
I could never do wind instruments because I was never good at all the breathing excersises and stuff.
