a bad experience with 13 CS made me buy shares in Konami stock instead..
How many shares did you buy? At exactly what price per share?Check your PMs as this is off-topic.
@stsung - You had a bad experience with Dao? What happened? And anyone else in the thread have trouble? I've heard nothing but awesome about Dao.

Shinji16: um. well, I'm happy dj dao is here for us and I would send you to him to get your ASCs. but I have to say that I had communication problems with him...everything is settled now.
it started with me paying for something and not really getting what I wanted (I payed for TT replacement and customized RE) but I did not get it. my RE got damaged and I did not even manage to talk to dao about the exact sizes/holes in those panels etc. (not to mention that it arrived late, but still was quite early...it took 4 weeks). I was still trying to tell him to get me the TT as I needed it. He owe me money (because well that's another story) and wasn't able to give them back for like....hm a year? but he remembered that and had it in mind. but just DID NOT send the money, even though he had valid paypal addresses and already a bunch of orders from me. I even said that I would pay once again for that goddamn TT, tried anything from being polite to being rude and nothing.... well...in the end I told him that he's going to send me (stuff valuing 370USD in total) and everything will be settled. I got no response so I told him if he does nothing about this I'm going public with this to bemanistyle. (it's public here, but I don't mean to damage him or anything. just keep in mind that problems might arise.) After this I got everything I wanted in a really short time
and well all this might have been caused just because he was moving and couldn't just write it on his bemaniasc site or forum. because all the orders and stuff were on hold at that time and he did not bother saying why. but who knows what was going on. I can just divine.
Happy owner of all DJ Dao ASCs.
AceJay: and arcade machines are for whom? still it's not question of being rich or not. it's a question of dedication. in few years time anything is possible
PEE is arcade sized controller. but there is as well RES^_~

AAAAHHH oh my god no it's not stop saying that. it is arcade perfect. ARCADE perfect. Lol. I took out a freaking ruler and measured the distances, and they are in accordance with the distances stated in the controller maintenance thread on Bemanistyle. The old FP7s were JKOC sized, but the new ones are the same as the PEE 2nd, but with a smaller turntable. Same height, same distance, same everything else. Sorry if I sound mean but it's one of my pet peeves, y'know?Quote: CoreyBlaze
Those are some pretty amazing setups people =O.
Tofu> How much does that smaller AC-type controller costs, and where did you got it? Also, I keep hearing about TT lag in these controllers, how much does it affect gameplay? Going from an USKOC to an AC is hard enough, and lag would only make it more nightmarish.
My controller was 185$ with like 80$ shipping or something. But that's the default setup. I paid some extra $$ to get Sanwas and stuff, so my total was $363 USD. It's really not that bad. I don't see a reason to get the PEE unless you only want it for the turntable, because its the same otherwise. And no, there is no turntable lag in IIDX. I did notice some when I played the original 5 key beatmania games, but for IIDX it is perfect.Tofu> How much does that smaller AC-type controller costs, and where did you got it? My setup consists of a 42" plasma with 2 dual 15" Peavey's and a beatmania US controller with a computer running LR2 on it. Not lag on the controller, though my friend said it had a little bit.
stsung: looking into dj dao right now.

My setup is just a IIDX ASC designed by Desktop Arcade(Awesomeness) on a white table in front of a 30" flat screen. It's pretty sweet cause i'm nice and close to the TV.

I don't make a whole lot, but I'm cutting back on expenses to hopefully have a IIDX cab in the next 3-5 years. Dedication is the perfect word to use, stsung.

Sorry for the necropost, but I'd rather not open a new topic for something like this.
Oh yeah. Just need a new TV now... It's really good, bought it with Sanwa/Omron and the standard red lights. The arcade distances are really messing me up, and I stopped playing for a few days as it was seriously starting to get to me with my JKOC sticking, so I'm actually playing worse right now, but that'll change after getting used to it.
Finger fatigue is worse, obviously, but it's not as bad as I thought it might be. Buttons will wear in eventually. It's gorgeous though, plays really well, and is FREAKING HUGE. So glad I bought it.

So I got a FP7 lol
The TT sensor's busted so I need a new one, but the buttons (apparantly Sanwas/Omrons) are pretty awesome. A bit louder than my KOCs but hey maybe I can get a TV with a fucking headphone jack, and maybe I can get some headphones.

Here's my setup! I've changed the TV since this picture to a bit larger Sharp 120hz set. I also have a Final Fantasy Black Cloud PS3. I'll take newer pictures when I get the chance.

My fingers get ridiculously tired if I play too much. To the point of pain. And let me say, it's really hard to play when your fingers won't cooperate. D:http://img190.imageshack.us/img190/7156/dscf0028large.jpg

But yeah, Sanwas will break in eventually. Takes 6 months or more, though. I know it sounds crazy but it's true.
And I ended up taking out my lights ages ago. The darn things are so fussy! I got sick of having only 4 of them light up consistently.

Who needs benches? I have a lap, and a couch.
I have a lap and a chair, but you get the basic idea. Dorm living is not conducive to bitchin' IIDX setups.

I use a keyboard stand in my dorm.
Useful because it blocks people from dumping their trash in my trashcan.
