I don't understand, why would they get rid of the Simfile databases in FFR and Bemanistyle? They could at least saved them, and put them elsewhere, or at least give a warning in advance. A lot of old simfiles I wanted to get no longer exist anywhere on the Internet, because those two sites were the only places to find them.
FFR: no idea but who caresBMS: They had like a dispute with their host or something and all of the data is stuck with the host. A new database should be coming soon I believe.

In my browser, Google marked OutPhase as an attack page that contains malicious scripts that might harm computer, It is also shown that within 3 days there are 3 suspicious acts on the site. What about you guys?
Same here.
Not that I cared though.

I occasionally frequented Outphase for LR2 skins, soundsets and BMS files. It was a really great site for finding that kind of stuff. It's a shame it's out for good. Though I will admit it was a pretty deserted forum.
@Hooky: I occasionally used the FFR database, actually. Sure for every good chart found there was another 20 bad ones, but the range of songs available on there was much larger than any simfile database I came across (at that point in time, that is).

I have a (fairly old) backup of the Bemanistyle FTP somewhere that includes the simfile directories. What exactly are you looking for?

if anyone still cares, outphase is back up
apparently the admins said that their shoutbox broke the site and Real Life prevented them from actually fixing it for months on end
so it's more like outphase went comatose and people thought it was dead

"Oh god what I have dooooone?!" |
I think perhaps the point of the matter is 'damnit this community needs something going for it'.
Because all the old sites are dropping like flies. Hell, it's been over a YEAR since I posted my 'ddr pad building thread', and 1- noone really replied to it, 2- it was necessary because a - DDR freak is goin' down and b- the sites ddr freak linked to are already hitting the floor.
God damnit. This is part of why I stopped caring, because it's less painful. But it still bloody hurts when you hear about these things.
I WANT to be involved in a community that's unified in their love of music games and having fun while playing. We can't have that if the community splits, dwindles and the pieces slowly bloody die.

That thread is a nice compilation of the custom ddr pad builds!Because all the old sites are dropping like flies. But yeah, all of the communities need something. DDR seems to have finally hit the "just churn more games out" phase that killed Guitar Hero so quickly. Nothing has changed the dance community recently (and ITG was just harder DDR for the very dedicated folks).

I believe it's been dead since January or February. All I get is a "Database error" and I can't access that page anymore.
