The world's most popular dancing game is back and it's worth breaking out the dance mat.
Dancing Stage SuperNOVA 2 provides everything the series is famed for: tonnes of songs and game modes, as well as difficulty levels that range from gentle foot tapping to dances so fast your feet will be a blur. Workout Mode makes a return, encouraging you to work up a sweat to one of over 70 songs, as does EyeToy support, which introduces hand movements to routines.
Dancing Stage SuperNOVA 2 follows in Konami's tradition of creating accessible rhythm games that offer simple gameplay for beginners and a genuine challenge for veterans. It's as much fun to play as its predecessors and perfect to bring out at a party.
This is pretty much gonna be the same as the North American version except the licenses, so...Dancing Stage SuperNOVA 2 provides everything the series is famed for: tonnes of songs and game modes, as well as difficulty levels that range from gentle foot tapping to dances so fast your feet will be a blur. Hey I heard that Trim was available for normal play in DS Supernova, so would it be revived here?

Yes. The first CS version called was the EU version, and I remember hearing about Trim and the rest of the US d/ls on it.
Also, wouldn't Silver Platform be under SuperNOVA CS, not AC?

Honestly I think Pluto & Pluto Relinquish should be on the list.

Well they really wouldn't be, since they weren't even on the US version

It's just like the US version of SN2 CS, half SN1 JP and half SN2 JP.
Nothing much to expect, really.

I'm expecting Konami to give us only 10 licences again and obviously remove the online-only songs we got in SuperNOVA 1. If they give us ~20 licences and put some new songs in the place of the ones we already had (or simply leave them in) then I will be pleased.

That was because the US version was released too early.

Still they can have the same songlist as US does except with different licenses.

If something isn't in the US version I really doubt it would be in the EU release. We got the few online-only songs in normal play for SuperNOVA 1 because we had no online mode, and we are supposedly getting Edit Mode in DS Hottest Party which is nice but hardly amazing and remains to be seen if it isn't just a screenshot error (which I wouldn't be surprised if it were).
I'd just be happy with a songlist to rival the US release and a bunch of nice licences. I wouldn't have minded SuperNOVA 1's 10 licences if they had been good but most of them felt like rushed US rejects. Romeo's video was off sync for pete's sake and most of the other videos were really fuzzy. Another Dancing Stage Max styled licence list please Konami!

My Guess List
A Sugababes licence:
Ugly
Red Dress
Never Gonna Dance Again - even though such a recent hit is unlikely.
Girls Aloud licence:
No Good Advice - would be a good choice.
Jump - which is an amazing cheesy dance track that would be perfect for Dancing Stage.
Sound of the Underground - which is another great hit although seeing as it was their claim to fame it might be an expensive option.
Life Got Cold - I could see this working although maybe would be better as a later choice.
Another Bassment Jaxx song:
So far we have had one for DS Fusion and DS Supernova so I'd say the chance is decent. Hopefully the video won't be off-sync this time...
Another Jamiroquai song.
These seem to be popular with Konami at the moment. But why in earth can't we have Canned Heat? Even Nintendo got that right with Donkey Konga and Elite Beat Agents.
Another Fatboy Slim song?
Wonderful Night from Dancing Stage Max surprised me by being pretty decent. I wouldn't mind another if it's good.
My Wish List
Sophie Ellis-Bextor:
Come on this girl helps define British pop and Mixed Up World isn't her only hit Konami! What about Murder On The Dancefloor, I Won't Change You, or Me & My Imagination?
Steps:
I'll admit I absolutely love these guys and Konami have graced us with 5, 6, 7, 8, Stomp and Chain Reaction so far which I have greatly enjoyed dancing to. Why not another like Deeper Shade of Blue for instance?
Kylie Minogue:
The arcade version of Supernova got a remix of Love At First Sight and the Xbox gets a remix of Slow, so why can't Europe have a hit on the PS2 version like we used too?
Keane:
Again the Xbox gets a dance remix of Is It Any Wonder? so can the main PS2 version please have another remix of one of Keane's songs? Somewhere Only We Know for instance?

Agreed with that! I'd love to see Slash Dot Dash, Weapon of Choice, or Push the Tempo.
Also, you forgot Obligatory 70s/80s Song. We had Take On Me in SN, which was pretty brilliant, as well as House of Fun in Unleashed 3. I'd like to see some more a-ha, or any other 80s songs which I'm loving at the moment, like:
Rock You Like A Hurricane - The Scorpions
Owner of a Lonely Heart - Yes
Driven by You - Brian May
The Final Countdown - Europe
...and surely this has to be the time that we get rickroll'd!

If this is the DDR to rickroll us, then I will probably buy it, even if I already bought SN2 JP

If DS SN2 (PS2-EU) includes a Kylie song in It's default songlist, It would be great!
(I hope to see: "In My Arms"...or maybe "Wow")

Thing is I doubt we'd see a recently released song. This is why the 70/80's songs are no doubt popular because they are old enough to not require as much for Konami to licence. To be honest the 80's has some fabulous tunes however I question if some of them would be suitable for Dancing Stage.
Although if Konami can include something like Modern Girl by Sheena Easton then I guess anything's possible...
