North Americans will be able to get their hands on the copy on Tuesday, October 26th.
Europeans will wait until the Friday the 29th, and Australians won't pick it up until Thursday, October 28th.
I've heard about the new features and improvements, so things are looking good so far.

People have had copies of the Rock Band 3 bundle for about a month now.
Blame antonline for breaking the street date. You can also find the rock band 3 gameplay videos on youtube.

"Oh god what I have dooooone?!" |
They'll probably never get good stock after this then.
I'd buy the bundle but it's not going to be available in my country, believe it or not.
Yeah, New zealand is so shitting useless you can't even GET pro mode here.
pffffft
that and the bundle will be about $350-400 dollars, and the keytar itself costs $199 and there's only ONE place to get it at the moment.

This time around, they are only making a keyboard+game bundle, priced at about $170.
And I was looking for some huge bundle with all of the controllers, too.

With the official release of Rock Band 3, consumers are now able to export the Rock Band 2 songs for $10. However, the following songs will not be transferred over:
Abnormality - Visions
Anarchy Club - Get Clean
Bang Camaro - Night Lies
Breaking Wheel - Shoulder to the Plow
Libyans - Welcome to the Neighborhood
The Main Drag - A Jagged Gorgeous Winter
Speck - Conventional Lover
The Sterns - Supreme Girl
That Handsome Devil - Rob the Prez-O-Dent
Metallica - Battery
AC/DC - Let There Be Rock (theres a live version available anyway)
Journey - Anyway You Want It
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Give It Away
Soundgarden - Spoonman
Fortunately, the Harmonix songs that were cut will be released later down the line as free DLC.
I'm going to miss Any Way You Want It and Spoonman.

i'm guessing that list is broken down where the first set listed is harmonix songs, and the second set is licenses... so visions was a harmonix song then, eh? i had no idea. i'm sad to see it go, but happy to know it will be free DLC later. it may not have sounded the best but it was a good fun test of keeping my strumming at the same pace as my fretting.

Lack of Spoonman disappoints me greatly. Hands-down my favourite drum chart ever.

This and Battery (even without the double-bass mode).

Here's some info on how to export the Rock Band 2 songs:
Microsoft Xbox360
Step 1: Pop in your copy of Rock Band 3.
Step 2: Visit the Main Menu and select “Get More Songs”
Step 3: Select “Redeem Code” and enter the code that appears on the back of your RB2 manual. (This is what you used to register and get the 20 free bonus DLC in RB2).
Nintendo Wii
If you’ve played Rock Band 2 on your Wii, Rock Band 3 will automatically detect your Rock Band 2 Save Data.
Step 1: Go to “Get More Songs” from the Main Menu in Rock Band 3.
Step 2: Go to “Redeem Code”
Step 3: Select “Previously Redeemed Code”
Step 4: Select “Rock Band 2 Export Pack” (you’ll be prompted to pay 1,000 Wii Points)
Your export will take several minutes to complete. You can also select which specific tracks you’d like to export.
Sony Playstation 3
Step 1: VIsit www.rockband.com/ps3-export
Step 2: When prompted, enter the code from the back of your Rock Band 2 manual.
Step 3: Copy down the new token the site gives you.
Step 4: Pop in your copy of Rock Band 3 and select “Get More Songs” from the Main Menu.
Step 5: Select “Redeem Code” and enter that new token you copied down from the website.*
**If you've misplaced your original RB2 manual and received a replacement code from Electronic Arts, skip directly to Step 4.**
Please keep in mind that you have to purchase the export key ($10) or else you will not be able to do so.
Edit: Just wanted to clarify that the export key is not seen through the Playstation Network Store. You get access to the key when you redeem your token. About 1959MB approx.

If anyone has trouble getting the "pre-order bonus", you can usually walk into most branches of HMV, and pick them up with the game.
I just walked into the Edinburgh branch, and got handed one this morning, without even buying a copy of the game o.O

I just got it yesterday, its been fun so far. It's now a little more fun since I actually have a Rock Band-grade controller now (It's the Hofner from The Beatles: Rock Band LE bundle that we also picked up mainly for the instruments), but I'm still having some issues getting used to their style of controller (in comparison to an X-plorer controller, which works just fine on RB if you can handle playing solos the old fashioned way)
The new interface and career mode took me a little bit of getting used to, but I am actually enjoying it more than RB2.
Also..
Look under performance.

I'm loving the game so far, it's all I've been playing for the past week and a half. And it really shows, I'm ranked 3rd on the Xbox Live leaderboards for total fan count lol
