I wonder if we will see it stateside. That brings up a question of mine... are PSVitas region locked?

PlayStation Vitas are region-free, though games' DLC content are not.
Everything on the PlayStation Store is region-locked.

If this game has DLC and it is not released in Europe, I wonder how many pissed off DJMAX fans there will be here...

As far as I know, DLC are not region protected. I have Japanese DLC that I downloaded from the PS Store on my PS3 and PSP. I would find it unlikely that DLC would be region protected on a region free system like the PS Vita.

Oh they are region protected. I have downloaded free Vita apps from the Japan PSN store and when I tried to transfer it from PS3->PSV, it was like "NO, ONLY THINGS BOUGHT FROM PSV ACCOUNT MAY BE TRANSFERRED."
DLC is region locked.
Not optimistic, considering EU gets the short end of the stick when it comes to getting Asian games...

As of right now we don't have an announcement for EU/UK. We would love to release it in that region, but there are some things regarding licensing with Sony that would need to be worked out before we can say for sure. All we can say is that we'll try our best to make it happen!

I think the PSV is a horrid choice to put this game on, why can't they put this on the iPad??
I would still get this if I ever bought a Vita, but chances of that happening are...slim, to say the least.

Well I don't live in the UK nor do I own a PS Vita just yet, but I have downloaded Japanese DLC on my PS3 and PSP before and they work on both systems. *shrugs*
Also, ak2k4. When you said the following:
Were you logged into the same PSN account on both systems?

You simply cannot change PSN accounts freely on the PSV, you must do a full backup, deactivate and then setup the Vita as new as the other account to use its applications and games.
It's a real pain to do that. I realise there maybe workarounds but it'd be much easier if they would release the game here.
I don't want to spend 10-20 minutes switching accounts if I want to play local and foreign games.

Oh jeez. I know that feeling. >.< The PSP is the same. Although my PSP I can play Japanese and US games without switching from my PSN account.

Yeah with PSV you can't do that without going through all that so I'd rather much it gets released locally...

I'll ask this question since I haven't bought myself a PSV yet nor do I know anything about getting DLC content from different places.
If the PSV itself is free but DLC content is region-locked and that I bought some DLC content in the Asian region, what would happen if you travel from an Asian country (let's say Japan) to America, what would happen then?
Also, why would you have two PSN accounts just to get content from different regions?

You need two PSN accounts because DLC will not be available if the game is not released there.
For example: DJMAX TECHNIKA TUNE released in US but not Europe.
I have Europe account. I access Europe PSN store - no TECHNIKA content.
*switch to US account*
I access US store - there is TECHNIKA content. I must buy the DLC on this account.

But let's say you bought the game in US but you want to access Asian TECHNIKA content. So I suppose it would require two accounts in order to purchase Asian TECHNIKA content while in the US, no?
Post #17 · Posted at 2012-04-27 07:58:11pm 12.5 years ago
I don't think the US game will load PSN content that's region locked in Asia and the internal game IDs will be different. That mismatch will prevent the game from loading them.

Ahh I see.
By the way, I wonder what their song list would be for this game.

Nope doesn't look like it so far.
No release planned in EU because they "can't find a publisher".
