Developed by Grasshopper Manufacture under the minds of Suda51 (known to do No More Heroes, and Shadows of the Damned), you'll expect the stylish combat and bizarre settings Suda51 was known for. Hot cheerleader named Juliet with a chainsaw in a zombie apocalypse? Best idea ever.
I've got a feeling that Juliet's voice in the trailer might be Tara Strong, but I could be wrong.
Release date is still TBA, but it will be under the Warner Bros. label in Europe and North America (Japan is on the Kadakawa label). It's rendered with Unreal Engine 3, same engine as in Shadows of the Damned.
I can't wait to see Howie's response to this.

Killing zombies with chainsaws is always fun. As far as the content, it feels like they could make it awesome by adding comedy, or they could ruin it by trying to add comedy. I haven't played No More Heroes, but I've heard nothing but good things about it, so my hopes are kinda-sorta up there, but I'm still trying to stay a bit cautious.
Girl's okay. Hot, but not exactly my type.
I do like the idea of finally being able to use a chainsaw on zombies without having to worry about the actual weight of it coming into play, though. That was one disappointing thing about Dead Rising: Getting to use the chainsaw then realizing that Frank and Chuck won't sprint through zombies flailing it like a madman. Argue the first game if you want, but that was more of a brisk jog with an easily-breakable weapon.

I've played all the Dead Risings. I'm aware they're fun. However, I don't like that the chainsaw, what is typically played up to be the end-all beat-all of zombie-killing weapons, ends up being something discarded shortly after picking up.

It'd be okay, but I think that would take away a large facet of the dress-up appeal: The humor. Yeah, you can toss a girl into a lot of the women's outfits available on Dead Rising and it could look pretty hot, but making someone like Frank wear stuff like that is hilarious. Even moreso if the game throws one of those "wear everything at least once" achievements at you and you don't bother to change back into your old clothes after each article of clothing, so you could end up looking like your closet just threw up on you.
