I have the pack on my Stepmania, and I tried out some of the charts. I actually have some ideas for changes to some of the Singles charts of just in case any of you may be interested:
Chronon Expert singles 11: There's more room for trills in the song, is there not? Plus, the step count isn't much for 11-material.
I Justified Medium Singles 7: Lower the rating to a 6; outside the sections with 12th note streams, everything else is a bunch of 3 or 4-block quarter note streams.
I Justified Expert Singles 11: Lower the rating to a 10. After the first half where the true intensity of the chart is with the 12th note streams w/24th trills, jumps, and crossovers, the second half is actually more 10 like. In another words, if one who's on 10-block charts can get through the first half, he's basically home free for the second half.
Land Of The Lost Expert Singles 10: Needs a different chart altogether. A bit obvious with the amount of mines there are.
Rock Robotic Expert Singles 10: Raise the rating to 11. There isn't really a resting point in the chart, whereas most 10s in the past generally have resting points somewhere in them. Plus, you've got that long 16th note run in the very beginning. And, there's the spins in the choruses, and the hand plants in the 2nd half of the song.
Sweat Shop: In the middle of the song, are the 16th note jacks crossovers, double-steps, or spins? In other words, the sections I'm talking about should be replaced with something a lot more straightforward, and with better flow.
Tsugihagi Construction: A bit too much for an ITG-themed song, should probably be removed from the pack.
Z Reboot (the whole simfile): The idea of all of these BPM skips, and the section with the negative BPMs, does not seem good at all. It would take a long time to memorize the charts, and changes without having to use Stepmania. This song is better off with an entirely different BPM set, where it's at a straightforward 150-300 BPM, and not with so many gimmicks involved.
These are all just my opinions on some of the charts here.
On another note, I actually wanted to be part of the team that would've picked what songs to put in ITG Rebirth 2, and how the charts would be. However, since I failed to find out how to join the group of people in charge of the whole ITG Rebirth 2 project at THAT time, I decided to just go off on my own, and start my own pack, which I've named, "ITG: The New Beginning"
I named it that because, a new beginning, is in other words, a rebirth of something. And, I felt that it would be more original & clever, as opposed to just building up numbered sequels on a previously released pack. Of course, I like the two Rebirth packs either way.
However, I face one complication. Since I'm busy so often, I find it hard to just do the whole entire pack by myself. So, I'd actually be willing to take some helpers if anyone out there is willing to take some time to help me out with this.

Those are footswitches...
They are cool.

Every song has full Single and Double charts. Any song not on the first page has been abandoned, but we considered it at some point.
So Medicine, A Mermaid's Tale, and Force Feedback met the same fate as Pandemonium^2, huh? What are some factors that influence omissions from the final songlist if that isn't confidential information or anything?

No, footswitches are where you step on the same arrow that comes up twice in a row with different feet. So the pattern is R-D-D-L-D-D-R, your feet would be R-L-R-L-R-L-R.

Medicine and Force Feedback are in the project, I guess I copied over an incorrect list. A Mermaid's Tale was dropped however.
It's really solely based a majority vote from the developers wanting to drop the particular songs. I can offer them up for download if anybody wants them

Question: Why are stuff like Queen's Tragedy and Nightflight to Tokyo in this?

Oh, I get it now. That's actually pretty smart. I never looked at it that way. Thanks for telling me. Is it the same for Rock Robotic?
I strongly suggest that Z Reboot should be redone entirely, because for me, it's impossible to play Negative BPM charts on Stepmania 4.0, because it doesn't know what they are somehow. And, if I play Stepmania 5.0, it keeps on reloading the wrong updates on my simile pack, so I basically have no perfect Stepmania program to utilize everything correctly at once.

Yep, also the same for those elements in Superfantastico (hard), Soul Flight, and Dr. Bom-Bombay.

Because they are good songs to step and both of them have great charts, we think it's irrelevant that they've been used in Bemani games

No such thing exists for the MAC. And, apparently, neither does that SM to ITG R21 Convertor.

Will all the abandoned songs be compiled into a bonus pack or something like In The Groove: Rejected? Either way, I would love to see all the rejected candidate songs. Also, would it be helpful to rank the difficulties of all the songs once the pack is finished, so we'll know have an idea of which songs are tougher than which? Of course, I guess that would be more beneficial to someone like me who can't even come close to passing all officials.

I don't see why not, we'll be sure to compile what we can in the future.

Also, after further examination, if Rock Robotic Expert Singles is a 10, so should be Savanna Expert Singles.
And, is it just me or is Shamrock Shebang a bit offsync?

Shamrock Shebang has some serious sync issues, but we're working on it. Hopefully we can actually find the full version so we can re-cut it and then have it be synced properly.

Actually, maybe I could do that. However, it would have to be a different cut...if you check out my simfiles, maybe you could get a bit of an idea, of course not all of my simfiles that I used GarageBand to make R21/R23 Cuts of are 100% synced...

Full version is at extrememusic.com. You'll need either an account or an audio ripper.

I saw Disconnected Survivor Max DX last night. That was funny.
Most of the charts I've looked at look fine.
The foot ratings seem a bit low, some of the doubles 12s look like 13s, and some of the 11s look like 12s.
The doubles charts with hands are consistently misrated. Elder God Shrine DX should be rated a 9, Land Of The Lost DX should be a 9, Prison of Passion is barely a 10.
Move It Groove it really bugs me because those trills really sound like 4 straight 24ths to me, not 8th, 12th, 16th, 4th. Listen to m15-m18 on half speed.
Go play mudkyp's Move It Groove It chart and compare it to yours, you'll see what I'm talking about.
I haven't played much yet, I just played the hand charts, a couple songs I liked, and looked at the 12s and up in the editor.
I'm assuming the jump hands in Paranormal DX are your way of giving the middle finger to all the people who don't memorize charts. I'm not looking forward to playing that.

Slow Move It Groove It down to 0.3x rate, that is exactly what the music is doing. I just wanted to put the quirky little rhythm somewhere.
Paranormal isn't that hard to memorize, all of the quads should be set up to do them comfortably.

Paranormal is one of my favorite doubles charts from Rebirth 2 so far. The quads aren't difficult at all, but I do have to read it really slow, as I would any hands chart (~240 BPM scrolling speed).
