I have way too many songs in my game to use the roulette button, so I was wondering if it was possible to create a random button option and if so, where should I put it?

I have Stepmania 5.0.9, so I do not see a ShowPortal option within its code.

What's the difference between Random and Portal?

PORTAL: appear a random song before you select it.
RANDOM: appear a random song and the song wheel is locked.
ROULETTE: the song wheel spin to a random song.
In DDR themes, PORTAL is disabled and in some themes disable ROULETTE.

I'm so sorry for the necro bump but I was wondering if it's possible to get the random system like StepMania 3.9 used to do. When you select RANDOM the song appears and the song wheel is locked and you have chance to see the song and go to the song options and adjust the speed and all other mods, but when I use RANDOM in SM5 themes (like Starlight or DDR X2) the song is automatically selected to play with no chance to know the name of the song that was selected or adjust the player options. Is there any way to put the old Random system from SM 3.9 to SM5? It was more comfortable for me to be honest.

In the same place you would enable ShowRandom, you can do ShowPortal=true to enable that, but I don't think it locks the songwheel.Thanks in advance.
Unless you mean ShowRoulette which can also be enabled. You can actually have all three enabled at the same time.
