Hi.

Can someone post a video of this song on that particular game? I'm working on a project that involves verifying all of the scripts that appear on DDRMAX2: a lot of them are different in EXTREME, such as DESTINY and THE REFLEX.

THERE YOU'LL BE is the only one out of 135+ I couldn't locate. Not a single video of this song being played on DDRMAX2 exists, all of them are either EXTREME (AC), EXTREME (CS US), or StepMania. .-.

Thanks in advance!

Necrobump!

I'll be hitting up a DDRMAX2 cab tomorrow evening. I'll probably get a video up the day after.

Would JP CS version footage work?

But there is unused data of said song in EXTREME JP CS.

The OP is looking for how the background video sequence was scripted on MAX2 AC. If the sequence was changed on Extreme AC, those changes would have gone to any CS version after Extreme's release (except maybe MAX2 CS for songs that were on it).

As an example, Twilight Zone's video sequence was changed in Extreme AC, and this sequence is the one that was used on MAX2 US.

Extreme AC changed a lot of video sequences simply because they tried to fit 240 songs onto a CD, along with video data (plus all of the program and graphic data).

You're right. EXTREME AC was pushing everything to the max. They couldn't fit ALL the videos or past songs onto the disc, and they had to sacrifice the audio bitrate (112kbps instead of 192kbps) and background video quality for that purpose.

I watched the video above and compared it to gameplay footage from DDR EXTREME AC and DDR EXTREME US CS. No difference between all three versions. I'm gonna call it and say it's verified in advance. Thanks for posting the video nonetheless!

Didn't only have a few songs in MAX2 have unique video sections versus MAX? The only ones I can name off the top of my head that had unique video clips were ever snow, LONG TRAIN RUNNIN', Spin the disc, i feel..., TSUGARU, Secret Rendez-vous, CANDY♥ , D2R, and THE WHISTLE SONG (Blow My Whistle Bitch).

Going by your examples, Secret Rendez-vous and i feel... were changed in EXTREME AC (carried over to MAX2 US for both cases despite the BG scripts for both being left intact on MAX US and MAX2 JP), while Spin the disc (I assume), D2R, TSUGARU, ever snow, and LONG TRAIN RUNNIN' were left alone.

THE WHISTLE SONG (Blow My Whistle Bitch) had its BG script replaced with its music video in MAX2 US (where it was retitled "THE WHISTLE SONG (Blow My Whistle Baby)" both for censorship reasons and to better reflect the repetition of the line "Blow my whistle baby").

Not sure about CANDY♥, though I do know that it received a brand new video in EXTREME 2 that would be carried over to SuperNOVA AC.

Thank you to fygar939!

I'm slightly disappointed it's the same, but that's okay, at least there's not the nagging possibility of "IT COULD BE DIFFERENT!" in my mind anymore.

With that said, there's still some scripts I wasn't able to find. The suspect is the weird Dancing Stage Euromix 2.

Here's what I know...

NOTHING AT ALL:

BURNIN' THE FLOOR
CAN'T STOP FALLIN' IN LOVE
HIGHER
LOVE THIS FEELIN'
MEMORIES
MY SUMMER LOVE
rain of sorrow
Remember You
Secret Rendez-vous
The Centre Of The Heart (STONEBRIDGE CLUBMIX)

ONLY PARTIALLY:

DESTINY (uses film7, a Euromix2 exclusive video instead of geometry1)
DYNAMITE RAVE (probably the same as EXTREME, but...)
La Senorita (uses snow6 and orange1 instead of text15 and text12)

You still have a chance to help out if you come worth with any of the listed songs. It seems like they could be the same as EXTREME but there are definitely differences.

The PARANOiAs use this set up in MAX2 and EXTREME

http://ddr.bircd.org/vidthumbs/wave1.jpghttp://ddr.bircd.org/vidthumbs/wave2.jpghttp://ddr.bircd.org/vidthumbs/square2a.jpghttp://ddr.bircd.org/vidthumbs/grid4.jpg

But in Euromix2, it's instead...

http://ddr.bircd.org/vidthumbs/thunder1.jpghttp://ddr.bircd.org/vidthumbs/text8.jpghttp://ddr.bircd.org/vidthumbs/square2a.jpghttp://ddr.bircd.org/vidthumbs/cube2.jpg

Other songs that are definitely different are Look to the Sky and Electro Tuned (the SubS mix), DESTINY and La Senorita (from what I know) and NORI NORI NORI (random-ass Telephone Operator cameo). I'm willing to bet at least one song I posted in the "NOTHING AT ALL" group is different from EXTREME.

Thank you in advance!
