I recently bought a sound voltex controller, and would like to be able to play a few rounds of Gravity Wars (PC) sometimes. However, I currently have all of my e-amuse data for DDR and SDVX AC on an American e-amuse account and have a blank Japanese account set up and ready to go. Can anyone explain how I can safely transfer my data from my American account to the Japanese one and still use the same card?

If you already have a Japanese account set up, it should be fairly quick and simple.

Step 1: Log in to your American e-amusement account.
Step 2: Go to the e-AMUSEMENT PASS main menu (link provided).
Step 3: Near the bottom right-hand corner of the page, you'll find a small hyperlink that reads "Disconnect an 'e-AMUSEMENT PASS' from KONAMI ID". You can also click this.
Step 4: Pick your current card, and deactivate it.
Step 5: Log out, and log in your Japanese account.
Step 6: Register your e-AMUSEMENT PASS.

It should be good to go from there.

Will I still have access to my data for DDR? I value that more than having the japanese account.

Of course. I lent my entire card to a friend with a JP account so he could set up Fast/Slow for me, and then give it back. Your play data resides specifically in your pass, not in an e-amusement account.

IIRC, a data transfer would be getting data from one pass that you either lost or have damaged transferred to a new card. You'd need to register the new card on your American account to transfer data from another card registered in the same account.

The data's not stored in the card itself. There's a 16-digit code (not the one on the back) on the card's chip that's sent to the cab and then the cab retrieves the associated data through eAMUSE. You should do a data transfer to a fresh japanese account, disassociate the card from your US account, and then associate it with your new japanese one.
