I’m surprised they didn’t go with a newer incarnation of the SDVX franchise.

These are meant for low-income arcades that would like in on SOUND VOLTEX. Cabinet design is a modified Otoca♥d'or machine.

What redshoepaul said actually makes sense, considering some lucky branches of Quantum Amusement have ONLY ONE respective online, updated SOUND VOLTEX machine as of this writing.

"Blank for now." |
First question, is Quantum Amusement based in the US? Second question, is it possible for anyone else get one of these?

I wouldn't think so. They are a Phillipine arcade company that's only for that specific region. And maybe so, but the closest thing that we are getting SDVX in the states as of now is still Round 1.

It's actually a pretty long story of how this came about.
A few months ago, there was another type of this small SDVX cab, but the design of it was closer to a full-size cab design (complete with keypad, card reader, and headphone port). Also, its control surface was white.
It turns out that KONAMI was sending these mini-SDVX cabs to several SEA countries to see if they could put these into unlikely places like convenience stores. However, it wasn't until they shipped these cabs to the Philippines that it generated a good amount of revenue enough for a full-blown distribution of the Otoca D'or SDVX cabs.

Sooo...
US version when? If it's as cheap as advertised, I'd buy one just to play in my apartment. (mostly joking)

I'm pretty sure it wouldn't stop the most dedicated person from modding the crap out of the machine, both in and out, to make it look nice and get it to run Heavenly Haven. XD

ICYMI: So here's some pics of the new mini-BOOTH cab in action a couple of weeks ago, being played by none other than DJ YOSHITAKA himself.

Are these just running something equivalent to the final release of Booth?

"Chunithm when avaible in here" |
ah sorry for the bump.
there's this cabinet at game center in my place.
image :

i have several problems :
> the QR code does work, and supposed to have music unlocks (since the list is small compare to all BOOTH songlist) that shows everytime you use generated QR as a save of your progress, but the songlist didn't change at all.
> the knob is slippery, makes it too sensitive to play the laser (still playable but often to accidentally miss).
> is so small that you need to have smaller chair to sit and play more comfortably.
> there is no such thing as bpm save (or whatever they call it) and i think it wasn't present in original BOOTH too.
i already tried it bunch of times.
so if anyone tried it too, please help me with those 2 first problems.
i need to know how to (somehow) fasten the knob to make it heavier and how's your experience on doing QR code saves
also thank you for reading this

I saw this thread and I decided to make an account.
I have been looking for a community that talked about this iteration of booth and I have found nothing.
So I will just write this little note here.
I've been playing this game for 2.5 years now.
This is the 1st sound voltex game I've touched.
I currently have around 100+ plays in the arcade.
New songs have been added to the game since it's 1st release and it looks like they are planning to add
more, can't wait for touhou music's to come lol
The game is grindy. To unlock songs you need to play over and over again. I have not managed to track on how many
Plays you need to get a song but the longer you play the harder it is to get songs. Well that's how I felt it at least.
I made an account on my 60th play of sound voltex since it you brings to a japanese website(on the account creation)and I can't understand those lol.
Thankfully I met a nice person that thought me on how to make an account.(btw there's an option to change language so just look for it)
https://youtu.be/0drUID-kcJI
Here's an old footage of me playing the game.
Please don't bulli my skills
