Actually it's the opposite. It's blocked where YouTube Red is available, because you must accept the monetization terms and other features associated with the service, or Google will block your content in regions where YouTube Red is offered because it cannot be offered under their terms.

I'm positive the only reason the SWEET SMILE HEROES event exists right now is because Konami literally has no other songs TO share.
This might also explain why Konami has gotten really expert course happy recently in IIDX, and why there's been 0 talk on SINOBUZ Vol.2 OST (or any other OST not Hinabitter related), despite the game being more or less done.
No wonder 96 and Jin Senbonmatsu left Konami earlier this year - they probably saw this coming before most of the other in-house Bemani staff did.
The only upside I can see to all of this is that Konami might clean house to the artists who have been getting far too creative control in their franchises in recent years and shuffle around the staff that DO (hopefully) stay. I really won't miss Des-ROW running REFLEC BEAT to the ground, or PON being a control freak in pop'n music, if they both get fired.

1) There's at least one source plus the direct evidence that Konami specifically took the time to edit the artists' names out of the banners depicting them. It takes a huge amount of dislike to be retroactively deleting a person's name, let alone several people's names, let alone an image edit that's a lot less trivial than a text edit.
2) Pretty much every other time people say "DDR is dead", they mean "outside of Asia". This is "DDR is dead in its home country and home continent", which is much, much bigger news.
3) "DDR is dead" from a lack of new/interesting content and "DDR is dead" from legal sh*t between the company and its employees are very, very different things.

The courses also add actual content, in the form of the ✝ charts. Sure, three out of four of them in the latest batch were from console versions, but hey.

Leggendaria charts are worthless for people who live in the U.S. like me who can't access them. Your point being...?
I also loathe playing Expert courses (much less twice to unlock one chart of a song). And not a single one of the new ones in recent times have contained new songs; just album songs and crossovers. Konami has no more new songs to add.
