Good thing in our country, many people are playing PIU now. Of course it's not a good way to spend more money to play new BEMANI games and will end up with this kind of bad things but it seems like KONAMI consistently doing this kind of sh!t nowadays.

It's not as tricky as you'd think, the corner panel setup makes movement a hell of a lot more natural.
Of course, living in the sticks for this kind of thing means regardless of how this situation pans out, I'm probably going to be unaffected. It's all dead here anyway.

In my mind, was it anything other than a matter of time before Konami's cancer spread to the BEMANI division and they decided that they weren't going to take it?
All I can really say is "good riddance" to BEMANI and "hello" to the new team that'll inevitably arise of the people leaving Konami.

This is pretty dissapointing, considering this year is the 20th anniversary of beatmania...

The way I see it one of two things are probably going to happen either the CEO steps down (this might be unlikely) or Bemani leaves and becomes independent (this might be the most likable outcome).
Who knows perhaps maybe if Bemani does leave maybe they should team up with SM and make that legit.

This thread makes me cry every time I click on it. But I figured it's time for me to share my opinion on this subject matter.
I believe that BEMANI should just secede from Konami and become their own company. If they do that, the artists will finally have complete control over the games and songs. Maybe we'll even see more CS releases if this happens.

And if you don't mean having all of these benefits retroactively and you are talking about future games, where is all the money going to come from to produce and distribute these games? I really hope things work out at Konami. The Bemani games are a huge part of my childhood (DDR especially) and I'd hate to see them die out because of the CEO's poor decisions.

Konami still have casino machines as their main sources of income. If things come to the worst for them, they might just ditch everything and focus on gambling aspect instead.... It would be the end of everything (which I really don't want to see either...)

Newbie here, man. The situation is messed up in this moment, and since is Konami, I knew beforehand that Bemani wasn't safe from the scandal ever since the OG KojiPro's fall. There was a Nikkei Asian Review article related with the thing, search The Konami exodus, nobody is safe...
