Hi,

This is my first post.

I've played DDR for 18 years and a few months ago got my own Dancing Stage Euromix 2. Machine was running fine apart from pads weren't as responsive as I would hope. This post was supposed to be about that!

I opened the machine up for the first time yesterday (with the machine off), ejected the flash card, cd-rom and security card. I switched the machine on this morning and now I have an 'Error 146' check flash card is in properly. I've removed and reinstalled several times with no difference in the result

Have I killed my card? just a coincidence? or repairable?

Many thanks for any assistance.

Hi,

Thanks, I did find that thread which also has another issue so I wasn't sure how relevant it was. Is the flash card one of these:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PCMCIA-ATA-Flash-32MB-Industrial-PRETEC-card-P-N-PAH032EH5/172911698930?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l9372

Might be worth mentioning: A few weeks ago all the high score data reset after I hadn't switched the machine on for a couple of weeks. Until today it also hadn't been on for about a month.

DOH!

I was putting the card in slot 1! I didn't realise slots 1 & 2 were next to each other and I couldn't see inside......

Until today when I removed the whole unit from the machine and saw the 2 slots.

I did get a 'Error 190' after putting the card in the correct slot but that was because I had to remove the pads to give me room to get behind the cabinet.

All is now sorted!

I just need to get better responsiveness from the pads now.

Thats like both the easiest and hardest part about keeping a cabinet, quick thing for now is to test all your sensors using the operator menu to work out which are the most sensitive and putting them in all the inner positions, then look at replacing the foam on top of all the brackets with some stickyback foam or something similar, dont want it so thick it wedges your arrow in place, once its done just give it a bit of wearing in and it'll be fine. You might have to keep doing it for a while until you get the balance right though, once i'd done that to mine when i owned one i never had to open a single arrow again for the last year or two i had it.
