I want all songs from now on to be 110-135 BPM dancemania tracks with no bpm changes or stops, change terrifies me and I want to stay in 2001 forever.*
Can't wait for the new Destiny's Child album

* More frequent unlock systems. A kinda stopped them about six months in for a good while.
Adding to this, better unlock systems. No grind fests, all skill.

I'm fine with grinding as long as its done well. Baby-Lon's adventure was simple enough to build up passively, and didn't take too much for each level. Rinon's Adventure, on the other hand, became tedious by being locked behind the Extra Stage, essentially making it a grind behind a grind. As long as its a grind I can do passively without having to actually grind it, I'm all up for it. Bonus points if deliberately grinding it really hastens the process.

I mean the way I see it, the best system is a grinding system that can be accelerated by playing skillfully. If it's purely skill-based, then that means that some people will never get the unlocks (for example: I will probably never pass a 17 on extra stage), but I do understand the frustration of pointless grind (looking at you, 7-sets-per-attempt at EES).

I can get behind what you guys are saying but what I mean is that I don't want any more unlock methods that are literally impossible to achieve unless the arcade is having a really slow day (x amount of credits per try of song, I'm looking at you)

i'm hoping for more frequent updates, and a focus on international players considering DDR is basically back all around the world now. It's still dissapointing to see DDR A go down the way of DDR 2014, with barely any updates, and the songlist becoming more dissapointing, with the last batch of songs being the same type of songs you'd complain about during the lifecycle of DDR 2014. And somehow, jubeat gets to get 70 songs within half a year and yet DDR only gets 35.

Even if this is sarcasm, that's not what I said about BPM. Like, at all.
Baby-Lon's Adventure was a good example of a happy medium for a DDR unlock event. Its sequel, Rinon's Adventure...was not.

My post had nothing to do with your post, otherwise I would have quoted you or mentioned what you said. I assure you, there's plenty of people on here that have gripes with with gimmicks in DDR.

I have gripes with BPM gimmicks when it's something retarded like 23 to eight-fuckin'-fourty. I have never liked artifical BPM changes and I probably never will, for the most part. PARANOiA Survivor MAX is an example of BPM switches that I honestly don't mind too much.
tl;dr there's a limit to how much bullshit people will tolerate and my tolerance is fairly low

Yeah Quickman is right, BPM gimmicks are fine when done right but then you have absolute fucking trash like CHAOS and PTF a ton of the Evolved charts, and then just unnecessary BPM changes like OTP and Pluto Relinquish (I tolerate MAXX Unlimited and even Hades' BPM gimmicks, for a couple examples). Now that we have split timing, I hope Konmai uses it right. They won't tho lol
Also, DDR 2018 needs steppers from not Bemani (what is the general consensus on 888 anyways? Cause I love the CSP altho I find it easy for an 18 personally). Then we can have the first 20. I hope we never get a 20 before that.

I'd love a CS release as much as the next guy, but this is Konami we're talking about, and if SDVX III has taught us anything, they might try to rip off the consumer by charging per session again (on top of needing a Japanese eAmuse account and having to pay with bitcash if it came to PC).
On the other hand, there's no way we'd get it on PC because of obvious reasons. I'd be down to see a PS4/XBO or even a Switch version as long as the song list doesn't suck and has lots of stuff to do/unlock.

I think a progress bar throughout a song similar to that of StepMania/ITG would be a really nice thing to have. It serves as a good reminder of how much longer you need to endure to clear something.

I mean, you can always look at your score and be like "oh, I have 450,000 points, I'm probably about halfway done"

If you're on course for a AAA grade, then yes. If you're struggling, then that's really not the case.
