Can I be an elitist snob now?

I did Charlene (11) last night. Got a C. No bar.

Yeah, I suck, but it's my first 11. The jump streams pretty much trashed me. After that, Da Roots (9) seemed trivial. Then I got an epic fail on "Queen of Light" , failing just 8 or so steps from the end. I suck at hands.

Any advice for someone just getting into 11's?

Good job! Dunno if you can be an elitest snob though, cuz I think to get to that level you need to pass some real hardcore keyboard files on r21 like the guys on AIJ, even though not all those guys are necessarily snobs. I can pass 11's and I wouldn't say I'm snobby

Oh, okay, guess I'll start being an elitist snob when I've done "Hall of the Mountain King" then. I think it'll be a long time before I can do 16ths at 235 though. Took me almost 9 months of dedicated play to get this far, so that probably take me a couple more years. Probably break my feet first.

Oh, and I play with C400 (need to add some faster ones to the theme) for any song with more than one or two speed changes. I can't memorize songs that well, so it's just easier for me that way. So the speed of Vertex² won't bother me.

The speed on Vertex^2 is not what kills me, it's doing jumps in mid 8th runs. That's is hard BTW.

Jumps in 8th runs murder me all the time. Even when they're as slow as Charlene.

So, plan for tonight/weekend is Infection, Vertex^2, Pandemonium (11, not 13), and Tears In May. I expect Tears In May to be the only one I even come close to passing, as IIRC, the others require speeds of 11-12 steps per second, and I can barely do 9-10 accurately.

Anway, in case anyone was wondering, I failed when I attempted 11s on Saturday. But I did AA "Da Roots" , which rather surprised me.

And last night I AA'ed "Disconnected -Hyper-" , with A's on "Disconnected" and "Disconnected -Mobius-" .
But the best part was when I decided to play "Do U Love Me" . Right as I was about to exit the options screen, I noticed that my headphones weren't putting out any sound. So I took them off to check, and sure enough, the battery light was flashing. So I handed them to my brother, "Hold these for me.", and went on to play the song with no sound.
I couldn't move fast enough to hit the 32nds well though. About 8 or so steps from the end (I didn't realize it), my stamina ran out, and I stepped off to rest, expecting to watch the fail screen come up. Much to my surprise, I didn't fail, and in fact, got a C.

reading your first post brought back good memories of when ITG first was released on PS2 i thought i was the shit because i got a 92% with 1 miss on an afterburner no bar :p charlene expert is a sweet chart(song aint bad either).

now i need to get my stamina back so i can pass charlene expert with the bar
