Just came by to announce that our group (NcWO) will be hosting a PIU tournament in Rocklin California on April 1st 2017.

Shawnanigans Presents FFF: Foolish Fools in a Fool's Tournament

Game: Prime 2 (LX cabinet)
Divisions: Low Speed, High Speed & Freestyle

Tournament entry fee is $5.00 per division.
All money gets added into the winner’s pot.
Example: Upper division: 20 people enter and pay $5 each = $100, included into $150 sponsored prize = $250.00, used in splitting winner's pot
Splits will be 70/20/10
NO VENUE FEES.
Lower Speed Division (No sandbagging! Players that shouldn't be in this division will be bumped to Upper Speed!!! Lets keep it fun for budding players):
1) Machine score will be used.
2) Bar is allowed.
3) All speed mods are allowed.
4) All noteskins are allowed.
5) Mods from the Display category are allowed. BGA dark is allowed in doubles. It is only allowed in singles with the consent of both players on the machine.
6) No mod in the Path, Alternate, Rush, or Judge categories is allowed.

Qualifier Round - Random Singles chart level 13-14; top 20 scores in the round advance
Round of 20 - Random Singles chart level 15-16; top 12 scores in the round advance

Semifinal Round - Random Singles/Doubles Chart level 13-14; top 4 scores in the round advance.
Final Round - Random Doubles Chart level 15-16; top 2 scores in the round advance
Grand Final Round - Random Doubles Chart level 17-18; first player to win 2 songs wins.

This will be a single elimination tournament that will utilize a card-draw system.
Qualifying song will be a random level s18-20 arcade length song. Top 16 will advance. Seeding will also be determined in this round from 1 to 16
Starting from round of 16, match up will be determine by traditional seeding. 1 vs 16, 2 vs 15 etc etc.Song selection will be determined by a 9 card draw with each card having the song and difficulty. Songs that will be used are arcade length only. But doubles chart can show up as well starting from quarterfinals. (So yes, you may get a get a card draw that’s a bunch of doubles charts or singles charts. And your match up can have a combination of doubles and singles charts)
Song selection process: When 9 cards are selected, low seed will start and vetos one card, then high seed vetos another card. The other 7 cards are re-shuffled and 3 cards are selected from this remaining 7. High seed picks which of the 3 goes first. Low seed picks second song. Remaining song is the tie breaker should we need it
Once a CHART is played, that CHART for that song is gone from the rest of the tournament.
In Round of 16 Songs are from s18 to s22; Matchups are best out of 3 songs
Quarterfinals: S20-S23, D20-d22; Matchups are best out of 3 songs
Semifinals: S21 & up, D22 & up; Matchups are Best out of 3 songs
3rd place: S22 & up, D22 & up; Matchup is best out of 5 songs
