Hello, it's me again 
I'm using the SetPreferredSong feature but this is not working in the Extra/Encore stages, Stepmania selects the higher difficulty song from the group, and not the son established via SetPreferredSong. There is a way to disable Stepmania pick the hardest song? Or how to make SetPreferredSong work in extra stages? Is working nice until the final stage. Thanks for your attention!

The way I do it is by making a course file called extra1.crs in the songs/whatever folder for the extra stage which is a course with one song - the extra stage song, with the required modifiers (and an extra2.crs for the Encore Extra Stage) - that should default it.
If you mean figuring out a way to do it entirely through the theme and not in your songs folder - sorry, I got nothing.

Yes, I like to do via Theming, but this could be an alternative, I had forgotten the old method from Stepmania 3.X thanks for suggesting it

extra1.crs (EXTRA STAGE): EXTRA EXCLUSIVE songs (Generally New Century, FINAL STAGE or EXTRA STAGE LV1 songs) with both EXTRA SAVIOR and Natsu no Ryuusei Festa folders.
extra2.crs (ENCORE EXTRA): EXTRA STAGE LV2 song (Generally EXTRA EXCLUSIVE).
