Fighting Gamers

Any fighting gamers in here?

I've personally loved fighting games since a young age and have quite the collection. I especially fond of the Tekken series in which I have every game that has come out so far. What about you guys?

I'm mainly into Smash Bros, Mortal Kombat and Vs. series of fighting games.

I play King Of Fighters, Sam Sho 2/5, Third Strike, and UMvC3.

Smash is trash, don't talk about it here.

Have anyone saw the EVO 2017 Line-up? For the 9th game, I would like that UMVC3 take the spot (to keep the hype up to MvC Infinity) but Pokken still ahead in the donation spot.

I can't believe both Pokken and Smash 4 are fan-favourites and Third Strike has been gone for years. Hell, we could have some more SNK love? No, appease Nintendo because they're the gods of gaming or whatever.

I don't mind Smash 4 (it had de 2nd most entrant player last year) but seeing that Melee is also there and the possibility of Pokken too, make me sad. I was hopping to see KI once again in EVO

I prefer playing King of Fighters over Street Fighter because of its fast pace and combo system. The execution required to pull off combos in XIII is insane, but very satisfying if you manage to pull through. However, I have played my fair share of Street Fighter. I also play Skullgirls, BlazBlue, Injustice. I do want get into Guilty Gear more as the only times I've played it is when a friend has the game or at conventions. Same goes for Tekken and Mortal Kombat.
One can only dream. If there was more SNK love at Evo, I would love to see Garou Mark of the Wolves at some point. Hell, even SamSho, Last Blade, or World Heroes.

Seeing SamSho 5 at EVO would blow my fucking mind. I'd even take a legacy KOF like 98, just PLEASE STOP WITH THE NINTENDO WHORING.

Edit: Seems like UMvC3 is getting a comfortable lead in the donations, thank god. Having Pokken there would've made me want to kill myself.

I don't want Pokken at EVO. But I'd be fine with ARMS, since it's a style that fighting gamers have never experienced before. There is a reason behind providing both Smash games, and it would take a load of logistics to cut either game from the roster.
Outside of that, I'm surprised to see Killer Instinct locked behind a vote, while BlazBlue is a feature game...

Exactly. I'm not much of a Pokemon fan (nor do I DISLIKE pokemon) and if you want a good smash game, try Melee or Brawl.

Street Fighter Third Strike was one of a kind. That and the ORIGINAL Street Fighter IV (not super or ultra) are my favorites in the canon series for some reason. I think it has a lot to do with the features or its limited non-overwhelming roster. I don't know why, but if there's about less than 30 characters in a game roster, I'm more into it.

Anyways, for fighting games I'M into, it's Super Smash Bros Melee, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Street Fighter Third Strike, Marven vs. Capcom 2, and maybe the InuYasha fighting game I played the hell out of for PS1.

I like to play The King of Fighters saga, Super Smash Bros. saga, and Capcom Vs. saga. The last fighting game I have played was Injustice: God Among Us, and I liked a lot, too, but I prefer 2D fighting games.

Injustice is a 2D fighting game.

Anyway, I play SF, MK, Injustice, Marvel, Smash, Garou, KOF, pretty much everything to some degree. I'm really only good at SF, MK and Garou. Everything else I get my dick turned inside out when I go online.

Yeah, I miss some information. When I am referring to 2D figthing games, I mean those games that uses 2D sprites and background. That means mostly old games, but also some new games like The King of Fighters XIII (That still have 2D sprites). I prefer those games, that is all. Smash saga is the big exception because it shows a different way of fighting (percentage instead of bar, for example)

And Injustice, among Smash and other games are 2.5D, strictly talking. But that is a detail. I like to play them :D
