I've been playing the online Beatmania simulator Bemuse (https://bemuse.ninja), and supposedly it supports custom BMS files. I've been trying to use the Beatmania BMS files (http://bms.bemaniso.ws), but whenever I try playing, it fails to load all of the sound files. The chart is intact, but everything is silent. I've attempted multiple fixes, but nothing I do seems to work. Is there anyone here with more experience? Everywhere I look seems to imply that it's working, but I don't know how I'm supposed to get it to work. Thanks in advance.

Are you dragging in the song's folder? (not just the BMS file itself)

I tried dragging in the folder. I tried adding multiple folders to a folder and dragging that in. Still nothing.

Check also that the folders and filenames doesn't have foreign characters, Stepmania skips loading those files

Er, actually I was trying to run BMS files on Bemuse...

I'm hoping to run BMS files on Bemuse since my laptop's a Mac. I know the files work on Lunatic Rave 2 since I have that on my Windows machine in the basement, but if I wanted to play a Beatmania simulator on-the-go, I'd have to either get this to work or purchase another copy of Windows 10 for over $100 or something. I've even tested the files on Bemuse on my Windows machine, but it doesn't work... I imagine it's a problem with the file, or my method of setting it up.

(Oh, and about your tip, I actually ran into that issue when creating a simfile myself. Apparently foreign characters actually work on Mac, so moving the file to the Windows machine was a bit of a hassle until I figured out the problem. Thanks for the help, though.)

My fault, I haven't read carefully, I've dropped a folder with a BMS simfile, and it worked, except for the sound, but I was using firefox Green Grin and the custom files feature seems to be unstable, but the charts loaded fine, I've made a test on Chrome on Windows, and the window keep saying "Examining dropped items", and the Web console shows some errors, maybe is a bug of the server.

Yeah, that's exactly what happens. It doesn't work on Safari, so I have to use it on Chrome, which gives the exact same response you got. I think I might see if I can inform the developers about this. Thanks for your help!
