I know that sometimes Challenge is less than Heavy , but it's shocked me to see a few Standards which are greater than or equal to their Heavy and Challenge charts.

Sakura from Extreme has a Standard with 11; it's Challenge is also 11.
STARS☆☆☆(Re-tuned by HΛL) - DDR EDITION - from SuperNOVA 2 has a 10 Standard and a 9 Heavy
Flight of the Phoenix from DDR X has a Standard 7 and a Challenge 7

If you know any Light that are greater than (equal to not so much) their Standard charts, post here.
Same goes for any(?) Beginner charts greater than their Light charts (but again, not so much equal to).

this is already discussed in the Interesting Little Things In DDR thread, i don't see it needing a whole new thread

I doubt every song that would fall into those categories has been tracked down, even if it has been discussed previously...

Well then. Guess you've spoken. Anyone else curious about this is just gonna have to dig it up in that thread, assuming all songs have been found.

"five minute white boy challenge"
Agreed with Sig. Just post these in the Interesting Little Things thread, there ain't enough examples to even fill out one page.

Okay so I just visited that thread and there are ONE HUNDRED AND FOURTEEN PAGES.

Seriously guys, I think it's okay to have some specificity. Not everyone is aware of everything on every one of those pages.

Not when there's like, maybe ten examples in the history of DDR.

"Crybabies unite~ ♡"
Appending DDR Addict's post, here's that done on Doubles (X-scale). Again, a database search suffices.

PARANOiA KCET ~clean mix~ (10/10)
PARANOiA MAX ~DIRTY MIX~ (12/11)

Heavy >= Challenge (excluding Shock Arrow charts this time as well)
PUT YOUR FAITH IN ME (Jazzy Groove) (11/11)

bag (13/13) - also a cheat, maybe

I find that beginners and lights being equal is very common. I also find that heavys and challenges being equal or differential is common too. what i find UN-common are standards that are >= their respective Heavy and Challenge charts. additionally beginners and lights that are > than their respective Light and Standard charts.

Update
Now I was only looking for Standard being >= HeavyChallenge, not beginners and lights being > LightStandard, but I managed to find three more

DDR A songs:
†渚の小悪魔ラヴリィ~レイディオ† 10Standard :9Challenge
COME BACK TO MY HEART 8Standard 6Challenge
GORGEOUS 2012 4Beginner 3Light
Flight of the Phoenix 7Standard 7Challenge
Funk Boogie 5Light 4Standard
Heatstroke 8Standard 8Challenge
Sakura 11Standard 11Challenge
STARS☆☆☆(Re-tuned) 10Standard 9Heavy

Past DDR Songs;
Busy Child 7Standard 7Heavy

I think there still might be a few songs out there that we're missing, but that's probably 80% of them.

Before DDR X, songs on Beginner were primarily rated on their max BPM. For songs with BPMs <180, they were rated 1. For songs 180-250 or so, they were rated 2. Between 251-399 they were rated 3. 400 and above they were rated 4.

I may have these boundaries slightly wrong but that's the basic idea. So that's why there are some songs that are the same difficulty on Beginner and Light.

Interesting tidbit Astro, I did not know that. That makes a lot of sense.

Thanks to those that responded / 'allowed me to have a thread' -- I'm playing all the songs on Expert / Challenge and I wanted to play any Standard charts that had the same difficulty or higher than the Expert & Challenge. On top of that, I figured it wouldn't be too much more work to play the handful of songs on Beginner and Light that have greater charts than their Light and Standard, respectively.

Because this is such a busy place with so many discussions and this is just cluttering the board, right?

Anyway, I don't think songs like Flight of the Phoenix should count. The Oni chart is the Standard chart, but with Shock Arrows added.

I didn't know that. For my purposes, I'm interested in it. However that's understandable if others feel it's not necessary.

I mean obviously it depends on the context. Some of the Challenge charts have shock arrows but are otherwise copies of another chart (such as Flight of the Phoenix). In those cases the ratings should maybe be compared to the ratings of the original difficulty (in this case, standard). However, in other songs (e.g. smooooch, heron, etc) the shock arrow chart isn't exactly a copy of another one. I guess it's up to your own interpretation if you'd consider them a "challenge" chart or even just an alternate "extra" one.

Looking at the extreme songlist the boundaries seem about right, but its weird how on euromix 2 every song had a rating that completely contradicts any sort of system, like i said earlier blondie girl being a 3 on beginner and a 1 on basic but there are faster songs with lower difficulties and slower songs with equal difficulties. Odd but i can only assume that because EM2 had a few inconsistencies with extreme that they must have changed the system between the two games and re-rated everything.

That being said, destiny beginner on that game is a 3 and its basic chart is a 2 apparently according to the database as well.
