"I said small salad."
"So sorry, 'mam. I'll be right back!"
01angel pulls out a cigarette and lights it. She's sitting in a posh new boutique and lunch spot in San Juan Capistrano. Even though it's dark and rainy and she's sitting inside she's wearing sunglasses. A server walks by to top off her water. Immediately she places her hand over the glass and looks up condescendingly at the young Mexican boy with a weak mustache.
"Um, what do you think you're doing?"
"No hablas Engles, Seniorita."
"Ugh, I wish Trump would just build that wall already."
The front door opens up and in walks her guest, albeit nearly an hour late. 01angel takes a deep drag off of her cigarette and scowls when he takes a seat.
"Where have you been?"
"Sorry, traffic."
"Bullshit."
"Hey, this isn't sows - you can't talk to me like that."
"Let's quit with the formalities. How much do you need?"
"A lot."
"How. Much."
He reaches across the table to remove her sunglasses so that he can look her directly in the eyes.
"The money part isn't what's important."
"What do you mean?"
"He's already here."
"Oh my god..."
Trembling, she puts down her glass as her shaking was causing it to spill over the side. She can tell by the look in his eyes that he's already here and right behind her. Slowly, she turns around.
"So sorry, 'mam. I'll be right back!"
