[SM5] Character Select Screen Update and Request

Hi all,

I've been busy (as I'm sure a lot of you have been this time of the year) so it's been a while but I've been doing some interesting work for SM5's character select screen.

First up, I'd like to ask if anyone has the DDRMAX -> SuperNOVA 2's announcer saying "Select Character!" - it's featured in DDR Extreme 2/DDR STR!KE and I wouldn't mind having it to use within the character select screen.

I have been working with the port of PatrickIIDX's 5thMix theme that was ported by freem. That theme has a custom character select screen which works for the DDR 5thMIX characters. What I've done is modify the code, get the 3-D characters to appear over the character icon and I've got the mix that the character appears from underneath the character select screen. It's a little different to my original idea (porting the PS2 Party Collection character select screen). But I think it's turning out well.

I'm looking to incorporate the character card files from the Characters folder so that it is more portable but currently I'm using a custom icon set.

Hope you like my progress, when I've tidied up the code a bit and added in the cards (the original code is a bit all over the place and then my own inclusions have made it messier still) I'll release it out if people would like it.

Thanks must go to dbk2 who has helped me enormously on my quest to get a character select screen going (as well as a number of other things like preview movies etc) which have all ended up making my theme better from his help.

Looks very great. IMO, the complex coding dbk2 set you must be a breakthrough in SM5 theming. Keep up the good work!
