So what are they and can you finish them? 
(If you don't know how to find out, turn off the Fixed Extra Stage setting and finish a song in Expert with a AA. Go through each folder and choose a song, then exit it. The song that it is on after leaving is your extra stage.)
DDR Extreme 2: PARANOiA Survivor MAX Challenge
DDR Ultramix 2 and Strike (The stuff that came in the packs on this website): MAX 300 (Super-Max-Me-Mix) Challenge
DDR Awesome (Random assortment of songs that I like): Fascination MaxX Challenge
DDR SuperNOVA 2: PARANOiA Hades Challenge
Fake Doubles (The files that I'm working on changing the doubles charts into single charts and various creations):
FELM -Stream Challenge-, even though FAXX -Groove Radar Special is crazier. You can find both in my Fake Doubles folder XD
ITG Songs: Pandemonium Challenge, even though Vertex^2 would guarantee an instant fail in Extra Stage for me.
I've finished all of them. I managed to get Extra Stage in my ITG folder the other day and passed Pandemonium with a sliver of the dance meter left. ;D

I switched to Event mode because I was tired of going back to the main menu every few songs. Used to get "Max 888" as extra stage on my "Assorted Songs" folder, because I put a ton of songs in there before I realized it'd be better to organize them by source.
Since I tightened up the timing windows (same proportions as the default, but with Marv at 15ms), I very rarely get a AA, so I don't know what comes up for ES on any of the organized folders. I suspect that if you don't have a .crs file defining the extra stage, it just picks the hardest song it finds.
Shouldn't this be in "General Discussion", since it's more a social topic than a simfile topic?

Technically, its a simfile topic. Stepmania is powered by simfiles.
