So I have noticed that some of the official songs on the site do not have SM files. Can I just simply rename the .dwi files to .sm or is their more steps I have to do to play the steps from a USB drive. I have already converted the mp3 to .ogg

.dwi and .sm are totally different files, but .dwi's are better because they are smaller. Bu i you want an .sm instead, just go in to the edit mode and pick the song you want an .sm for and re-save it, and an .sm file will be created this way. If you want to put them on a USB to play on another computer, then the file type shouldn't matter, but if you're going to play on an ITG machine, then you will need .sm's.
