DDR MAX Hurt and Heal

You know the procedure. All songs will have 20 points to begin with, no song can exceed 40 points. Any song that reaches 0 points will be thrown in the garbage section. You can only vote for 2 songs and you only have 2 votes per day.
To heal a song, add 4 points. To hurt a song, minus 6 points.
When it comes down to the last 10 songs, rules will shift.
Only one song and one vote will be allowed and you can only heal up to +3 pts and hurt up to -5 pts.

Honestly, you guys. If someone wants to make a Hurt n Heal, as long as it's semi-reasonable (no superkill bullshit or anything of the sort), as long as there's aren't multiple of them going on at the same time, I don't see a reason why they shouldn't.

Although I can see post count being a problem. Perhaps the entire forum games forum in general can be marked as "doesn't count towards post count", similar to what another website I know of does.

- They're all overdone to shit.
- They're all ridiculously drawn-out straw polls.
- They're all about DDR.
- They're all done the same.
- They're. All. Pointless.

Seriously, what could this achieve that a "hey, what's your favourite song from MAX" poll couldn't? There is zero reason for the very concept to exist and zero reason for /so many/ to exist on the website. I know I get flak for being a harsh and heart-on-sleeve person, but surely you get what I'm trying to say? If you're going to make a Hurt 'n Heal (and I wouldn't hope that you did), do you have to make EVERY SINGLE ONE a "what is your favourite song from this particular DDR mix" or "what is your favourite song from this DDR artist". (Oh, and there was a Pokemon one.) Fuck sake, guys. I thought we'd learned from the last few years.
