I'm in the process of buying a DDR Extreme cabinet from a guy, deal was that he would totally refurbish it, if I bought it, and he didn't know what he had for the price he wanted. Long story short, I'm paid in full, but the last issue is...a booting issue.
Game is bootleg, has two discs. He tells me that it will start, pass all checksum tests, and then get to CD check and says the CD is bad. Installs from the install disc with no issues.
I don't have the error code, but I'm hoping to actually talk to his tech and get some pics of the inside of the machine soon, since it's been 4 months and I'm tired of waiting, to be honest. I plan on asking for the specific error code, but I'm thinking its going to be an issue of the discs being incompatible with the boot chip, as the discs he has are not the ones that came with the machine, as I understand it, because those apparently had some issues as well.
Any help/suggestions/ideas are greatly appreciated, and I'll update as I get more information!
