Hi guys Smile This looks like the most active Bemani community still around and so I think my chances of talking to some veterans of the olden days of DDR are pretty good.

I recently discovered a gaming community called Cyberscore. It looks pretty cool, covering a lot of different games across many different consoles. Of course, being a huge Bemani player for many, many years, I took a look at the DDR section they had, and discovered some submissions that hit a bit of a nerve and made a figurative siren go off in my head.

That's a page for DDRMAX2 on Cyberscore. You may notice that every single thing in the game that tracks a score has a perfect score submitted to it, and that some of them get pretty... well, impressive.

That's a submission for a AAA on Ultimate 12 Difficult for Double charts. I understand that in the new DDR games, we have stuff that's harder than in the old ones, sure. I also understand that the submitter for these scores is K-Stro, who is obviously a veteran DDR player with a lot of experience. At the same time, Ultimate 12 has the game's twelve hardest songs back-to-back with no breaks and no modifiers of any type allowed. The course culminates in MAXX Unlimited. Do you guys think it's reasonably possible for a person to spend 18 minutes straight hitting over 4600+ arrows across two DDR pads and never ever make even one error in timing? I'm not even talking about a Good or a Boo; I'm talking about a Great. I've AAAed some courses before and I've even done some "hard" ones if you will, but this seems like pretty superhuman feat to me (bad pun, maybe). What do you guys think though, some of you being old DDR vets? Have any of you ever seen players capable of this type of perfection? Is it feasible in the world of DDR pros?

When I was a young gamer, I had a lot of bad experiences with BS calls, both aimed towards me and coming from me; it's ugly and rarely results in anything good. A lot of scores are "unbelievable" to a person only because he can't imagine getting the score himself. However, I'm not quite oblivious to the world of DDR myself; I've been playing it and rhythm games like it (Beatmania, Pop'n Music, Stepmania, Guitar Hero... you name it) for over a decade now, and after my experiences with these types of games, these scores catch my attention in a not-very-good way. But am I just not good enough to understand? I'm asking you, the Zenius -I- Vanisher community, to let me know if these scores are feasible or not. I'm sorry to basically call K-Stro out, but as a long-time Bemani gamer, and one that's decently good, I just want to know if these scores are in the realm of possibility.

Thanks for your time Smile
