This thread will be focused on the first generation of DDR games, from 1st mix to 3rd mix. Every theme will have it's own repository, and the HD counterparts will be released when they are in a stable/acceptable status.
Here are the links of the repos:
=> DDR 1st Mix: https://github.com/MadkaT182/DDR1st
=> DDR 2nd Mix: https://github.com/MadkaT182/DDR2ndMix
=> DDR 3rd Mix: https://github.com/MadkaT182/DDR3rdMix
=> DDR 4th Mix: https://github.com/MadkaT182/DDR4th
I will try to do later the derivative themes using the main releases as a fallback.

Hello,
a) Thanks.
b) Just need to make a rotation in the Z axis to give the 3d appearance and make a curve wheel, I'll play with the command to do it, but seems possible to do with a little tweaks.
c) Of course, those themes are needed to be made in a flexible plattform, Sm 3.X was not, maybe OpenITG, but I will always support SM5 the coding is better and easy to implement. Of course, the reources are open source if someone likes to create a SM 3.x version.

Good luck with the music wheel without indexing anything.
Also, you're already doing the music wheel incorrectly.
I won't say how. But it involves the positioning of the song in the middle of the index for the music wheel.
Or just straight up a custom music wheel.

Thanks, I think a nearest simulation could be done with the normal wheel, the complete wheel looks like this:

I don't see too complex to spend time making a custom wheel (That I don't know how to do
) but I'm not worried about that. In a near future I will check what I should do.
Taking back to the business last night I've made some updates:
Updated gameplay screen, added playmode indicator and song difficulty

And the custom graphics are loading for non "classic" Mixes Songs, but I could not get the mask working

That's all until now, I will work in the Lyrics and maybe the scores screens and some other elements to get the gameplay screen done.

I love and approve this. If you need any help with ripping textures or something else, tell me.

If you create DDR 2ndMIX theme, uses the 2ndMIX mode of DDR X3 instead.

I'm glad you like it, it could be a base for your konamix theme, the old mixes share a lot of things, most of all were just graphic swaps

I will finish first the 3rdMix, when this theme is done, I'll start the others, also for the fanservoce, I think I could create the original arcade rip, and an alternate theme that can be used separtely or update the original theme as a patch, to make everyone happy

About the behaviour I'll try to use a var to make the different versions, and to tweak some elements. For example skipping the player modifiers screen, etc. Actually I'm recreating the operator menu based on the DDR1st menu:

All of those 573 versions have the same menu, or not? (In general terms

I'll make it like the arcade release, I have the color and the screen test screens done, also I'll made another screen for the console options, and an secret/extra menu for some important stepmania options, like theme changing, and options that are not present in DDR games. I will be ripping the bios fonts and updating some things, those themes are simpler than the next generations

Also for the select music screen i was thinking how I can handle the groups and sort items, shoul I use cd's too? I was thinking in cases or another graphic to differentiate them but I dont know.
I'll do some updates those nights to keep the thread updated and make a first alpha/beta release when is solid to play

As always, thanks for watching and for the support.

Oh my god.
OH MY GOD, DUDE iF YOU FiNiSH THE 3RD MiX THEME i WiLL NEVER USE ANOTHER ONE--
I'm no programmer by any stretch, but about a month ago I sketched out some ideas as to how one could sort the songs easier with this type of music wheel if you wanna see.
Also, started this at the beginning of the year and never finished it... She's not perfect, since it's ripped from EXTREME w/ PCSX2 and the cell shading render fucks up the capture, but maybe I'll get her finished and start the other 3rd Mix characters if this thing picks up~

Long live the Japanese underground club aesthetic-

Is nice to see more people interested in this little project
of course I will finish it. Is getting complete every day
Nice model rips, stepmania needs the missing characters from PS2 and new generations.
--------------------------------
Taking back to the action. Today I have created some graphics, and added the composer line to the gameplay screen, I only have added it for 3 songs, I haven't found more, I will need to download the 3rd mix iso to check all the songs composers. But is just spend some time searching. Also for the song that are not included in the 3rd mix I've added the artist information from the simfile, but I think I should remove it. What you guys think?

Hi friends, I;ve got back to say that the project is cancellated.
Nah, It's a bad joke, I've created the 3rdMix repository, and I've uploaded the alpha 0.1 version
is the actual version, now I'm going to detail some of the features with screenshots:

Also we have to receive (in a future) the HD remaster, thanks to our friend DiscoStu who has helping with some remastered images
some screens of what's done now:

Well, now to finish this load of information, I'll have to say that the theme is in alpha status, there will be bugs, and a lot of unfinished things, some bugs/leftovers already known:
--The p2 lifebars are misplaced, and the p1 lifebar pills have a wrong ofset.
--Most of the options are just placeholders.
--The konami logo is not showing up (I need to update that screen timmings).
--In some songs, the composer is a number (I haven't found the composer for 1st and 2nd mixes because I'm out of space
but I will add them later when I delete some garbage and get free space again).
As a note, the operator menu brings the arcade options, and the home options menu brings the console options, if you like to use the stepmania options us the "SECRET" menu in console options, there is were I will go to store the original Stepmania options if you like to change the theme or use a feature that is not in DDR releases.
That's all until now, I hope you guys will enjoy this release, and hope to bring more news soon.

Hello friends, long time without news
I;m getting back to complete this theme too
I've pushed a pair of updates, I;m focusing on finish the main menu, and add the dummies for the console screens, I've finished the disc change screen, and the pocketstation screen.

I'll be updating this theme later with some other things, I will focus on complete the select style and playmode screens.

This is looking very promising! I am looking forward to this theme simply for the sake of having a theme that uses CD graphics.

The Title Menu still needs fixing. "ORDERENDLESS" I think there's too much space between Nonstop and Order.

Yes, the font is manually edited, I've left with a fixed width, while I get more free time to update the ini. I have to add the sizes of the characters.Quote: DevilsLynAvenged12!

They are so hard to recreate in older SM versions, SM 3.x was inspired in Max series that's the main reason.
Now for some news:
Select style window has the initial version! I've turned Unison mode into Couples, because Unison doesn't exists in Stepmania. Is missing the dancing characters for the joined players, but will add them later

We are near to a first release
