I recently bought a homemade metal pad off Craigslist. It came with a 9-pin DDRGame control box that only connects to PS2. How would I go about making this pad work on my PC with Stepmania? Do I buy a 9-pin to USB cord and download some driver?
Thanks for any help received.

Sorry for the bump, but I don't know exactly what can help you in this situation.
WHAT I DO KNOW is that you can get a simple PS2 to USB converter to allow you to use your PS2 pad on PC. I use the Mayflash 3 in 1 Magic Joy Box. It works for my PS2 and GC mats, no issues. I'm not sure if it would work in your case since it's a different control box but I use this converter frequently and it most certainly gets the job done.
Hopefully this helped.

http://www.ddrgame.com/dance-dance-revolution-control-box-4-in-1-red.html This is the control box I have. 9-pin and multi-console. Not sure how reputable ddrgame is these days, but if you can get your hands on that you'll be golden.
Otherwise, Hypnoticmarten77's suggestion for the mayflash converter would be your best bet. I know some speedrunners that use that brand to use older-gen controllers on newer systems so input lag shouldn't be much of an issue there.
