ZIversary: Zenius -I- vanisher is 10 years old today!

So, if you guys haven't noticed yet, al2k4 founded this site on May 1, 2006 - which can only mean one thing:

Today, Zenius -I- vanisher is OFFICIALLY 10 years old!

We should celebrate by listening to the song that gave our site its name:

Basically, I actually created this thread as a "celebration thread". Here are some suggestions as to what to post here:

1) Talk about some of your most unforgettable memories of this site over the years, even if you haven't been here for very long.
2) Speculate about what the future of this site may be!

It's been 10 years... and haven't changed to 5th style III, or 6th style..
anyways happy Ziversary.

I remember when I was in 2010, the year when I first started posting, omg my english was really bad on that year because you know, I was in Elementary lol. I also remembered when I got negative points, I acted like a baby, complaining about points.

Hope ZIv steps into 6th style someday, making major improvements, i guess.

i've registered over a year ago and my english was pretty bad. i've made some great friends and taken part in some cool forum games. i don't have much to talk about the future of this website, but i think it will have many improvements.

I remember back when the default theme for the site was IIDX 18 (at least I think it was) which right around the time I started lurking. I then made an account the following March, forgot the password, email, and password connected to said email that were connected to that account and made a new one the March after that. Other than that, I don't remember any particular events other than when Cuzco was widely hated.

But anyway, happy 10th birthday to ZiV. I hope it gets its Pokemon license and reaches 5.3rd style or maybe even 6th style someday.

My progression from only knowing DDR as a BEMANI game to expanding my horizons with other rhythm games is astounding.

Thanks to this site I was able to get a chance to see, hear, and play rhythm games I didn't think I would ever get a chance to play.

Well, not directly thanks to the site (#papabless Bemani Invasion/Tokyo Attack) but it did help me get informed about these games.

It's been a crazy ride, and I normally just lurk these forums since...I don't know, it just doesn't feel like it used to back in the day.

In all honesty, ZIv helped me in many ways. It helped me improve my knowledge and experience with many rhythm games, it helped open myself to the entire music gaming community, and it helped make me befriend many others around the globe.

I started out as a bit of a pretentious shit (still am, in a way, but nowhere near as bad as I used to be), but I've tried to integrate myself and help keep this site thriving, with helping Alan with a few things here and there, making monetary contributions, and just... being myself, I guess.

Thanks Alan for putting up with all of us throughout the years. As to where the future is headed, who knows? I'm glad to be of assistance to this site.

Congratulations to Zenius-I-Vanisher! My most fond memories are when ZIV was first created, and there was like nobody here! Me and Alan were close, and we had some awesome conversations and interesting ideas during this site's development. At the time, Bemanistyle and VJArmy were alive and bustling with activity...hell, even to this day, I subconsciously type "vjarmy" in the URL bar even though it has long ago changed to solidstatesquad xD. The competition was high, but Alan kept maintaining and updating this site valiantly, and look at us now! ZIV has become an extremely important site for us BEMANI fans, and has survived both the competition and the drastic changes in the music game industry!

On a more personal note, I made an interesting bet with Alan many years ago...he indeed won the bet; I believe it was for $40 USD, lol! I didn't expect to lose the bet, but I did AND at the same time, was going through some hard times. Please forgive my delays, Alan, would you accept a 5000¥ JP iTunes card instead? I'm currently living in Asia right now, and it is all I can offer you in terms of currency.

Almost 5 year vet! :ccc (even though I was barely here for half of them)

I went from being a zero, to hero, to being a zero again, to being more hero then what my activeness was in the bemani community was. I talked to artists, met cool people, and learned what the bemani community is at it's core.

I never want to let go of this community and I will fight to still become part of it this. Here's to more years!
