"jubeat is bae" |
Hi there,
So it's been a very long time since I wanted to get into making customs songs/fumen/charts for the couple of jubeat simulators out there but was desperate to find an editor that worked well, jubiscreator is an absolute pain to use and I just couldn't even imagine having to do everything with a text editor.
So I thought I could just write some script to convert osu beatmaps to a format accepted by jubeat analyser for example. And so I did,
long story short, here's a video showcasing the principle :
Using it should be a piece of cake, download, unzip, run the .exe in the folder, and this should pop up :
Then when it's done converting it creates a .txt file with the same name as the osu! file in the same folder, and it should be in fully compliant Shift-JIS encoded memo format
Enjoy ;)

Quote: some technical aspects
>NO BREAKS OR BPM CHANGES FOR NOW
>I hard-coded teh fact that each 4 beats of a block measure has to be in either 4th, 6th, 8th, 12th or 16th notes only, meaning the script will fuck everything up if you find the urge to use some other hipster beat signatures
>jubeat analyser still acts kinda funny when using 12th notes
>It *should* be able to deal with split blocks just fine, but I haven't done any intensive testing of that yet
>Chords (multiple notes patterns) should snap together just fine as long as osu doesn't decide to put one note off by 1ms for no reason (it happens)
