"I'm honestly pissed off." |
The one al2k4 uploaded yesterday for xbox song pack 25.
I did it last night, got a B sight reading it. It just doesn't seem as hard as PO, or Max 300, so I'm wondering if it's one of those ones some people say isn't really a 10. Also, it doesn't seem as hard as "Thong Mover" on Mungyodance (it was in an addon pack I found somewhere else), and that was only rated a 9.

Seems like a real 10 footer to me.
It has its moments at the slow parts and the 250 bpm parts are just crazy enough for 10 footer status.
It's probably an easy 10 footer like Outer Limits (SN2) and Xepher.
Did the original 250 BPM have a 10 footer stepchart and was it official? I seem to remember the name "250 bpm (J&S Remix)" in the song packs but not plain "250 BPM"

They never did the original 250BPM, just like Love Me Do and The Strong Jaeger. Though, if they did, I'm sure it would have been a 9 or 10. I totally prefer the remix though, cuz it just sounds so much better.
And I guess I'll throw out there that, yes, this is a 10. It's just one that came before SuperNOVA. I guess that's where I draw the line between old and new, so it would be considered an older 10.

fix'd
also, there is an official 250 BPM song, its from IIDX. its not like orion.78 where the am euro mix is the original. they just never used the original 250 BPM in DDR.

I'd say it's harder than some of the other easy 10s, like Mad Blast, G2, or MAX 300, but no, it's not the same sort of a 10 that, say, PSMO or FELMO are. Best comparison I could think of to it would be a slightly easier version of SMMM Expert.
n00b: I would make one further fix and say either version of Outer Limits is an easy 10... actually, I personally find the Ultramix one easier, but YMMV.

Mad Blast was rated a 10 because it's a terrible song. ;)
Really, that song is a 9. Compare it to Cartoon Heroes.
Good to know 250bpm is comparable to SMMM Expert though. I ran out of stamina in the triplets leading up to the final long streams last night on that song. With that comparison in mind, maybe I'll be able to do it tonight.

Properly fix'd (I've heard that the Festival version is the same as the SN2 one, which was harder than the ULT one). Anyway, I think it's an easy 10. Sorta in the same league as Love Me Do (The Acolyte's Remix) Doubles and G2.

you didnt fix it, you broke it. i fixed it to reflect the origin of the chart he mentioned, not the DDR origin of the song in general.

There be two different charts though. And the Ulramix one is a hell of a lot easier than the Festival one (The UM Heavy chart is just a copy from the Festival Doubles.)

huh? the UM charts are from a year before festival was even announced, how is it a copy? here is what happened to all the UM songs in festival: they remade the singles steps, and didnt touch the doubles steps.
so, in UM you have the UM single heavy and UM double heavy. in festival, you have the festival single heavy and UM double heavy. i dont know what SN2US uses for doubles, but i know that SN got rewrites of the UM double charts so it might have a SN2 exclusive double heavy if someone cares enough to check.

OK, make that Festival copies from UM, and we're all fine.

I didn't know where the "easy" Outer Limits steps came from so I put SN2

Not everyone has an easy time with Xepher Challenge. I'd say it's a 10 just for the sake of making a song that's a good transition to 10s. Because if you look, there are really no songs that are 'real' 10s that sorta say "Hey, this is gonna take you from 9 to 10." Besides maybe MAX 300. That's what I always think at least... gotta have a middle ground somewhere, no?
