Someone has already told me that it does work, but I've read that sometimes it doesn't.
Has anyone purchased this exact adapter and tried to use it with their GameCube dance pads? (More specifically the Wii ones)
If so, how did it work out?
I'm only 16 and I don't have a job. If this doesn't work and I buy it I'm screwed lol

If it outputs to USB, you can always just use Joy2Key with it if it doesn't just work on its own.

I figured as much. I think I'll end up buying it.
Just in case, StepMania supports both D input and X input correct? I'm not too sure what this adapter outputs to.

Obviously, the pad should work fine, but it might have problems with Up+Down and Left+Right if the arrows are accepted as d-pad input. New versions of StepMania feature an Axis Correction for adapters, though, so you should be able to work around it either way.
You need to go to Advanced Input Options to see it.
Personally, I use a PS2 mat hooked up to an adapter, and I have no problem with it when the Axis Fix is on.

Alright, so I've been trying to get this to work for ages. Both my GameCube and PS2 mats work fine when they're by themselves, but when they are together the PS2 mat literally goes ape shit.
The GameCube mat is fine, as it is in "FLIGHT MODE" when both by itself and with the PS2 mat hooked up to the same adapter. The PS2 mat will constantly switch between "ANALOG MODE" and "DIGITAL MODE" every second or so, screwing up my day. Even when I manually set the pad to "DDR MODE" it still switches to "ANALOG MODE". I checked how it's supposed to switch and you're supposed to press the Analog button on a PS2 controller, but a DDR pad doesn't even have that.
Am I doing something wrong? Or does this adapter simply not work with a GC mat and PS2 mat? I'm using the 3-in-1 Magic Joy Box adapter.
Help?
