[YOUR FEEDBACK NEEDED] DanceDanceRevolution spectrum + DanceDanceRevolution BNM series legacy tracks

Introducing the newest simfile pack from Blinded_No_More...



A brand new spectrum of simfiles is on its way!! DanceDanceRevolution spectrum features a variety of songs of differing genres and artists, as well as plenty of firsts for the BNM DDR series:

- 854x480 widescreen backgrounds: All background images will now be in 854x480 widescreen for superior quality and no stretching!
- Videos: Songs will now feature their music videos wherever possible!
- Doubles: As carried over from DanceDanceRevolution plus ~phase two~, all songs will have Expert doubles charts!
- Unlocks/Extra Stage system: DanceDanceRevolution spectrum will follow the UNLOCK LEVEL system from SuperNOVA2. The pack will include 30 default songs and feature UNLOCK LEVELS of 5 songs each.
- X-scale rated files: Files are now rated on the X-scale by default. There are no plans to release old-scale rated files at the moment, but this may change if user outcry is loud enough.
- Nonstop/Challenge courses: spectrum will feature courses, each with their own banner! These courses will include Nonstop courses (4 songs), Challenge courses (5+ songs, 4 lives), and special Legacy courses including songs from previous mixes... speaking of which...
- DanceDanceRevolution BNM series legacy tracks: Files from previous BNM mixes will be remastered and re-released in their own special category!! These files will be compatible with spectrum and any following mixes, and as such will feature all of the above features! This includes songs from...

Will these files also lack charts like DDR plus?

I personally find Beginner charts unnecessary but it honestly wouldn't be that hard to include them, so they're on the considered list.

OK, it's been over a year since this was announced, and honestly I've not worked on it nearly as much as I would have liked. However, I have to ask something of the userbase: should this start out with fewer songs and come out sooner, with updates being added over time? Or would you rather have a larger songlist to begin with and have it take longer to come out? I appreciate your feedback as it means I can decide whether to begin releasing these files in the very near future or wait until I have more of them finished.

Since I don't have good access to a dancepad right now, release dates don't matter that much to me for now. However, I'd like to ask how you got the UNLOCK LEVEL thing to work? That got me pretty interested in this pack. Can't wait to see what happens soon...

Also, you aren't the only one who hasn't been working on stuff. I haven't even touched Stepmania in more than half a year, and I need to make some simfiles someday...

Honestly, the UNLOCK LEVEL was gonna be entirely manual, LOL
