For some reason or another, the body frame of the site appears black when viewed on my iPod Touch in Safari, also turning every other row in tables black as well. This seems specific to the Touch, as I have been unable to replicate it in Safari for Windows, but can't quite pin down what exactly the issue is.

Hmmm it's probably not loading the arrow-background. And by default table cells don't have backgrounds therefore it shows the background below it which is just black.
Is there an option to enable downloading of background images?

try restarting it, thats what i do when my iPod screws up, but i have a nano so i dont know it will work for the same thing or not

Heh, it could be the iPod Touch doesn't like 800x3200 sized background images. XD
