I see a Challenge for Far east nightbird in the foreseeable future. As for now, that's a very nice Heavy chart. I could've seen that fitting nicely in the EXTREME-era, and I mean that as a positive. Flows very well with the song, and I don't see any major issues. It makes me happy.
I haven't seen the video for the remix yet, but I'll be sure to give my thoughts on that when I do.

I feel both of the songs could use a Challenge chart. The Heavy are nicely charted, though, and def something I would play constant...if I had a DDR A machine near me.

I'm not a great judge of 12-13 charts, but that looked like a lot of fun - most of the steps flow, there's crossovers that actually have flow instead of disrupting said flow (that's a bit of a rarity). Really impressed with the Heavy charts.

I like the steps too,
I feel like DDR A is very good in chart quality overall.

The chart for the original is meh (the song too imo) but I really like the remix's (both the chart and song). The stepper knew what they were doing with those crossovers.

Are y'all purists convinced that DDR A is THE BEST???

Seriously what's the consensus now amongst the hardcore community?

The technology of the machine itself + the large song selection + the really new awesome updates and 'events' + NA Support = A+ in my book

DDR A+

The japanese/SDVX licneses are quite meh, and I like the classic U1 better.
Also Hinabitter....
But DDR A is still fine

I agree wholeheartedly! DDR A feels like KONAMI redeemed themselves after DDR 2013/14, of which many people seem to think of as a letdown (I don't, personally). Although, I do feel that while 2013/14 was pretty awesome, DDR A is even MORE awesome. It just, in my opinion, has a more "solid" song list (not as many poppy tracks with Japanese vocals like in 2013/14. I do like those kinds of songs, but I know a lot of people here get sick of them easily or just dislike them in general) and it feels more "alive" than 2013/14 did (e.g. all its updates and events). DDR A will propel the DDR franchise into a future of success! Big Grin

Still not quite as good for me as EXTREME or X2, but it's probably third behind them. Big improvement over 2014. (I still hate that fucking abomination of a song wheel, though...)

I think it's chill because it has the majority of Extreme and X2 (and other mixes) so it's like even if you are still not completely sold on it, you can still play DDR Extreme with HD Timing windows....

playing all the old mixes on the new technology is really awesome, at least for me

Had a dream last night my local Home Depot got DDR A and Chris was there playing. He got off and I went to play but realized I wanted to go get an e-Amusement card. Chris ended up walking me through the store to find the front desk to purchase a card but we got lost and I never ended up playing DDR A...

Anyway, Far east nightbird looks like it has a fun and competent chart. I was worried when I saw it was a 12 on Heavy but actually, it does seem to be stepped very well! I still hope there is a Challenge chart for it in the future!
If it ain't no natural law, then you can keep your regulations. 'Cause if I like it, I do it.

I still prefer the look of EXTREME to A's, but yes, the timing windows make a huge difference.

I love the remix just as much as the original, kors k injecting a bit of S!ck's drumstep style onto the song sold it for me.

Both are OK, but i would have liked that the remix have had more combos than original.

Extreme is obviously classic. I think for me I never really got to experience DDR Extreme in its prime. I started playing DDRMAX in 2006. By that time DDR was already dying down and ITG was taking over. So to really be here and now as DDR is making a comeback (can we call it that?) I'm just super thankful and happy.
