I use to be a bar addict and x2, solo mod addict. But then I realized the bar is bad, if you want to learn how to pivot(plus most home pads don't have bar). Now I barely use the bar, only for when I need stamina.

I actually tried to use a bar (basically a chair at home) in hopes of helping my scores.
Unfortunately, it did more harm than good. Unless I have access to an arcade (Philadelphia has no fucking arcades ), I'll probably never learn how to use the bar well.

Lol, I tried it once, while playing Felm , I ended busting the chair and failing. ;D

I tried FELM Challenge because my friend stepped on the X button (and you know, I'm FELMDemon ).
Let's just say the chair made BOTH legs cramp up. >_<

Bar use takes awhile to get used to, because you're not using your balance to track where you are on the pads. Once you get it down though, your stamina will drain maybe half as quickly (if that) and you can focus on PA over balance (hi Waka Laka/Exotic Ethnic). Flatfooting really helps when doing crossovers with the bar too - I had to learn that for Paranoia Survivor to get my feet over in time.
Of course, these would be arcade tips. I suck on soft pads because I can't wear shoes or tell by sound where I am on the pads... on the other hand they're flat, so you can corner-hit to do jumps with one foot like in PIU =p

That being said, I wish I had ignored it when the bar was mentioned. >_< |

Ah, forgot to mention one of the most important mod that I have to put on, or else I just can't even play it.
Character must be Rage, Emi, Babylon or Jenny on SN1. If Ruby, Gus, or Robo-Zukin was chosen, I couldn't do it.>_<

I just have to make sure I don't choose Random (F) so I don't get Jenny. >_>

Back to seriousness, I play best if the note speed is between 250 and 450 BPM. I also have dark and reverse on. It sucks cause I can get A's on the tens most of the time, but when they're on extra stage, I suck (unless I'm playing MAX300). Damn that x1.5 mod.

Oh, I am dead serious about the character thing. It just takes all my will of playing any song in an instant if Ruby was chosen.
BTW, 300 * 1.5 = 450
Isn't that right inside your range?

He said UNLESS he's playing Max 300. Everything else (i.e. MaxX Unlimited, The legend of MAX, etc.) is too fast.
