Can anyone help me?link,install, pop'n music sim

Hello bemani community! please tae a second to read this!
i have finally saved up for a ASC pop'n music from dj daoIt shipped ! I have to say this controller is so amazing, the packaging, the buttons, the decals, everything was so professional! it shipped on time from china, so if your ever wondering about ordering a controller, GO FOR IT, its better then the arcade because its brand new! amazing company!

anyhow, I have LR2 for beatmania, but im having trouble finding and setting up feeling pomu simulator.
I tried some forums for a torrent of a HHD rip of popn , but im not finding seeds,and i havent even played with the controller for a month because I dont have a good program with alot of songs!

I am familiar with JOY2EY but cant find info on how to make it work with a simulator or a HDD rip.

If anyone can help me please PM me! I worked a second job just to be able to purchase this 300$ controller, and i live 9 hours from a pop'n music arcade machine,

For an easy way, just make this:

1. Download and install stepmania 5.
2. Install the popn noteskins, I've found some working on this link http://www.mediafire.com/download/b0maq9qjkkpzc3k/popn.rar
3. Search in the web for BMS or PMS simfiles or download normal DDr simfiles and turn on the autogenerate steps in advanced options
4. Using the default theme, go to options>select game>popn
5. Save changes and restart stepmania.

Here you can find a custom theme and better noteskins too http://www.stepmania.com/forums/themes/show/2630 I haven't found simfiles, I don't know where to find pop'n simfile but with stepmania you have the advantage to use the autogenerate steps option.

Just go here http://support.amd.com/en-us/download and use the Automatically Detect and Install Your Driver option. That software will check and help you to update your video card driver

u have no idea how much playing popn music helps getting away from work and family troubles!
im almost have everything working.. but STEPMANIA is not recognizing the bms files?

any ideas? thanks!

Are there folders inside those other three folders? If so, you'll need to cut and paste them from those and then overwrite or delete the extra folders.

As far as I can remember, folders or files with japanese or foreign characters in names are not recognized, as for the file format, stepmania is supossed to recognize BMS, and other pop'n music/beatmania simfile formats. But I haven't made a successful test, the only thing that I've could do was to download DDR simfiles, activate in advanced options the autogenerate song steps, you could find a pack there https://zenius-i-vanisher.com/v5.2/viewsimfilecategory.php?categoryid=716 just donwload it, go to advanced options, choose autogen steps, restart stepmania, and play.

Edit: I found it!

The recognition depends of the caracters, you have to check that the folder, and the files inside doesn't have japanese/chinese characters on the names, I've downloaded a simfile with bme's and pms's, removed the japanese characters from the folder, and from the files inside, and now it appears as a valid simfile, I don't know if installing additional languages support in windows will fix this, but that is the problem, just the names.

i get frustrated with work, trying to play pop'n, and real life, so it means alot helping me solve this problem

I downloaded one dwi/apple butter/put into song folder/program recognized file , but im stuck at having stepmania use the pop'n notes instead of DDR

Go into Select Game and switch to popn.

its something wrong with my downloaded themes , i tried to select this theme-


and then none of my songs get recognized when i switched to that theme



when i press select game it gives me options but no pop'n!


im all screwed up lol, thank you everyone for helping me on this issue. i use LR2 fine and got my ps2 to usb controller working, but with stepmania and this pop'n controller im stupid

you need to install a noteskin for popn

go to your sm folder, in there go to noteskins, and make a new folder called popn, in there put the default noteskin I or MadkaT linked

Im going to test the dj dao popn controller using jok2key tonight, and hopefully...POPN ACTION FUN STARTS

i will post a review of the controller (which is freaking amazing) soon

then start working on key sound pms files since im great at music production and have made some bms files for LR2 in the past.
