I'm actually kinda new when it comes to making stepcharts so a few questions:
1. So I tried putting a song jacket into a song after I created a chart. I followed what the others seemed to be doing to the file name (jacket) but it doesn't want to show up when I go into gameplay. I tried editing the .ssc file but it doesn't want to show up still.
2. How do you insert unicode characters so that it will show up in stepmania as a certain character instead of some garbled strings of regular characters?
I am currently using Stepmania 5.0.7 for the time being. I am pretty sure for number 2, Someone asked this before but I can't seem to understand how it works.

1. Have you tried Reloading Songs/Courses in options?
2. When you're editing the .sm/.ssc in Notepad, go to Save As and there's a little drop down box at the bottom. Choose UTF-8.

Remember: SM 3.9 and SM 5.0 uses UTF-8 scripts.

I never know about reload songs option.
It worked so thank you. Just need to remind myself to reload songs after tweaking the sm/ssc files
