These are all pretty great songs. I appreciate Space Boy the most because it's oddly rare to get western-style drum'n'bass in practically any other rhythm game lately. Rainbow Rave Parade is awesome too, never heard of Chime before. Para-Symptoms is unquestionably going to upset some people but I think it's a pretty good song.

It gets really boring seeing people online bitch about this game having no identity of its own when it's like... okay, find another rhythm game right now with music that sounds like this? Other games right now aren't throwing eurodance or drum'n'bass in, and aren't exactly highlighting any lesser known artists from the West.

I dunno, I need to stop going on Twitter when updates drop, it's usually extremely disappointing to see the garbo takes on there.

Thanks for listing those out, I always like seeing how the jacket evolved, and we have a lot of fun making them, especially ones with dedicated videos to match! With over 350 songs at this point it's easy to forget some of the earlier ones haha.

Those are cool. I’m curious about some of them that are similar to the DDR art, if it was done in tribute/as a reference or if there is official album art they’re based on.

To answer this, basically both! I tried to combine elements of official releases while also pulling in elements that people were "expecting" (and would probably be mad if they weren't a certain way lol).

A good example is Hero. It went through a few revisions, as well as feedback from Linnéa as well (the heart is very important to her, so it shows up in her songs' artwork!).



Nearly every piece of artwork goes through this process. and some of the time too the artists themselves have ideas or suggestions and we're happy to work with them! This even involves doing super silly things like buying a physical copy of an album to scan the artwork in at a higher resolution because it apparently doesn't exist anywhere officially online - Charlene is an example of that.

That's really cool, seeing exactly how it's a mashup of the original album art with the familiar colors and heart from the DDR art.
