Is there a change log for the various updates, or are they just done on an individual basis?
I'm migrating some old DDR:UK files and they used to have a log of whatever files were changed, steps added/removed/moved, etc. I would find that very handy info, if not now, then perhaps for future edits.

If I were you, you should update the whole thing. Almost everything are ripped from official data, unlike ancient and obsolete DDR:UK simfiles.

I'm just worried a bit about losing steps since some songs are no longer in various packs, that's all. Was wondering why some had been deleted or moved around, like Memories moved to Extreme, and 5.1.1, GENOM SCREAMS, etc. being removed from Extreme (I think they were there because of changed steps).
Sorry about all the questions, I'm just OCD about my data. I still have to recover my BGScripts from a hard drive crash.

Songs are either arranged based on first Arcade appearance (Memories) and/or series they were originally came in (e.g. beatmania crossovers moved from EXTREME to DDR 2ndMIX and DDR 2ndMIX CLUB Versions).

Bump because I don't feel a new thread is necessary.
Hey guys, even though this might make me slightly unpopular, but is it me or is it necessary to have pointless obsolete PS2 simfiles repeats when we have the perfect AC simfile already uploaded (especially the following pack who files have all been updated in the SuperNOVA2 AC pack: https://zenius-i-vanisher.com/v5.2/viewsimfilecategory.php?categoryid=48)?
It's just a thought, and I'm just wandering why.

Unsure of where to put this, but where can I get the BG movies for DDR 2013 songs that had them?

I just put them a while ago. Download each avi individually.

There's a couple of things from 2013's data that I was curious if they're going to be released. You're aware of the EXTREME-era videos, but there's a few other things:
-Heavy Rotation (2013 Version) (Both the cut and charts are altered; maybe list it as (2013 Version) in the category since in-game there's no title difference?)
-CANDY (Heart) Video (Differs from EXTREME 2 version)
-BE LOVIN' Video (EXTREME 2 version, but will have a different compression; also may have some subtle differences that I forgot)
-GRADUATION Video (Differs from RandomMovies)
-bag Video
-Gamelan de Couple Video
-Dance Dance Revolution Video (Also used for X-Special)
Since in DDR 2013, the videos are cropped by the engine for EXTREME content that was originally letterboxed (bag, Gamelan, GRADUATION, and DDR), it'd be wonderful to have those uploaded without modification in their original 16:9 aspect ratio, which should be the case considering the 2013 new songs had the same situation.
There's also changes in older mixes:
-TRUE LOVE's artist is jun feat. Schanita (The file has this change, but not the page)
-LOVE LOVE SHINE's artist is Riyu Kosaka (no longer fully CAPS LOCK; needs to be changed in both the file and page)
-Heavy Rotation (2013 Version) (Both the cut and charts are altered; maybe list it as (2013 Version) in the category since in-game there's no title difference?)
-CANDY (Heart) Video (Differs from EXTREME 2 version)

I posted a while back requesting that the bpm be corrected for Heaven Is A Place On Earth (German Election Mix) and was wondering, is there any plans to update the home version songs with official data? (if possible)

I apologize if this has been asked somewhere in the last 20 pages, but I was curious if the console simfiles were going to be cleaned up and get the same treatment as the arcade simfiles have been getting lately. What I mean is if the audio will get higher quality ogg rips, as opposed to the old mp3 ones, and maybe remove all the old duplicate simfiles; i.e. like all the ones that were in DDR Extreme 2 PS2 that were eventually released on SuperNOVA arcade, or maybe condense all the Ultramix song packs into one zip instead of all of theme separately, and get rid of all the files that were already released in the arcade somewhere . (I know that I could just as easily delete the duplicates myself for my personal collection, but maybe it would benefit others if this was done on ZiV's end as well.)
Also, I have an idea about handling duplicate simfiles that may have an alternate chart somewhere else (i.e. Max.(period) challenge 10 in Extreme PS2 (Japan) and the current Max.(period) in DDR 20014). Instead of having both files hosted in 2 separate folders, maybe keep the current official arcade challenge charts as is, but take the alternate console challenge charts, and just add them as the edit difficulty to the arcade file, then deleting the console simfile. I understand if this idea isn't too popular, but I thought I would throw that out there. I just feel there is a bit of unnecessary clutter in the console section, and many of those simfiles haven't been updated in years, and I was hoping that they weren't completely forgotten. I know that arcade releases will take precedence, but since things are slowing down a bit on the arcade front, maybe the console area can get some TLC. I am grateful for things as is, and it is awesome that you guys are hosting all of this content to being with, but a little bit of improvement couldn't hurt.

DDR 4thMIX
- BURNIN' THE FLOOR
- SEXY PLANET
DDR 3rdMIX
- DYNAMITE RAVE
DDR 2ndMIX

DDR 1st
- PARANOiA
BUMP EDIT (2015-10-28):
I can't think of any appropriate thread for this but before I make a move, I want to throw a question if the romanized kanji in remywiki are valid or legit. Usually all romanized kanjis I input are based from remywiki. I just noticed today that some are spelled differently now (they updated it perhaps). Should I make changes to them to match with remywiki standards? Here are some examples:
z-i-v: Asa-iro no kami hikouki
remywiki: Asairo no kamihikouki
z-i-v: Bamboo Sword Girl
remywiki: BambooSword Girl
z-i-v: Onna kotoba no shoushitsu
remywiki: Onnakotoba no shoushitsu
z-i-v: Gensoukei sekai shuufuku shoujo
remywiki: Gensoukei sekaishuufuku shoujo

What happened with the directory structure when you download the zips? They used to extract into a folder with the song name and the simfile contents but now it's something like ...\simfiles\mix folder\song name\contents

There are some custom .avis I'm wondering about.
I want to provide ones for some Dancemania licenses. Specifically the 3DTextura and text songs (A MINUTE/DRIFTING AWAY/LITTLE BOY/LOOK AT US/NOTHING GONNA STOP/THE REFLEX/WAKA LAKA and BYE BYE BABY BALLOON/SO DEEP/LOVING YOU/SOMEWHERE OVER THE RAINBOW/MIRACLE/YOZORA NO MUKO). And maybe some other MAX-EXTREME songs that don't have their avis ready.
Would it be okay if I provided files for someone in the simfile update team to compress and put in the official .avi downloads? I can copy most of the scripts flawlessly, each day, I am detecting BGChanges in the official games everyone else overlooks (including beware's DDR extreme; he missed at least 12 video cuts!).
Something else I'm curious about is if I can use my higher quality animations. I ask for those two sets of songs because;

There are slight compromises/errors, but they are too small to be significant.
If 640x480 is the preferred size, I think these would come in handy. I can take the time to re-render the one video (HTF Disco1) that I strayed from in a huge way with the actual spark shooters if this turns into the case. However, there are still benefits to sticking with the originals as I don't have all of the movies in either set.

I apologize for the bump, but I noticed that the DS feat. Disney's Rave folder is empty in the Arcade section, and I found the DWI files from another website. Is there anyway I can get access to that folder to insert them?

A20-updated level ratings has been applied to official DDR AC simfile categories.
For those who want a patch, here is the download link
NOTE: Manually rename your old DDR2014's "Koi wa dou Moro wa dou OK houteishiki!!" to "Koi hadou Moro hadou OK houteishiki!!" first before updating. Alternatively, you can get an updated copy in the simfile category.
Update:
Official DDR A simfile category is now up

NOTE: You need to download the movies individually as they are not part of the packed zip.

When I click on the link to the official simfile category, it says that I don’t have permission to access it.

one thing i'd like to point out, though
the download pack wasn't updated yet to include the resynced files
or is that not necessary?
