The ULTTRAMIX 2 songlist here shows that multiple songs have 
charts, yet on the game itself I can't figure out how to access them. Is this a database error or am I missing something?

They're being shown there in the simfile section because those songs have either had Challenge charts in a previous game or their original steps from a previous, early game and brought back as a Challenge chart (various songs in 3rd and 4thMIX have this). In the actual ULTRAMIX 2 game, there are no Challenge charts accessible at all.

Essentially, the charts don't exist on the game. If you wanted Max 300 SMM-Mix Challenge, you'll have to get SN.
