I see "oject" and am praying that it is not Touhou Project but it definitely is

not surprising since CKP is one of the most popular songs among the general video game music community outside the BEMANI community

it's up there with FLOWER (lol), far east nightbird, Mei, Proof of the existence, Meumeupettantan!! and For UltraPlayers. (a few others too but those are the ones I remember)

I wasn't aware Meumeupettantan was popular.

Well, given that I can certainly see what SEGA was thinking. It looks like they're going for a lot of rhythm game fan-favorites, including L9 and Aragami from BMS.

With how popular Far east nightbird is I'd like to see that ported outside Bemani some day though :(

Honestly I'm fully expecting it to be the port song if they do end up doing the speculated second Tenkaichi Otogesai.

I do know that especially GROOVE COASTER-centered players go crazy for Far east nightbird so there's that at least

Update today with 4 new songs, 2 from Bakemonogatari and 2 from Madoka Magica
And with it, a good number of characters from both show (with some broken skills too, especially Madoka and Homura)

I personally got completly hooked on the game, it's been a while since I played such a fun game. And it's as of now a pretty big hit, always people lining up to play in all game centers
(Just today, there was a twitter from the staff of Round One in Umeda/Osaka, a pretty big Round One, even if I don't like their maintenance)
The tweet was basically
Chuunithm: 8 Machines, 15 people
Crossbeat: 8 Machines, 2 persons
Synchronica: 1 Machine, No one

And as a +
Taiko: 4 Machines, 4 persons
IIDX: 4 Machines, 4 persons

All the game centers I go to in Tokyo that have Chuunithm have actually a similar line
Looking at the ranking, you also see numerous player names from Bemani series (just like in the video posted earlier Dolce and Hoshikechi are both in it)
You can see Fall, Anchoubi, Etsuya, etc... (all players who appeared at KAC)

Seriously, if you can try it, try it, it's just that fun!

While stylistically this does have some resemblance to SDVX and other games, I think the overall product is pretty neat, especially with the touch reception strip. I'd absolutely jump on the chance to try this out. I mean, the overall visual style seems like an acquired taste, but Pop'n'Music has shown that decent gameplay can take priority over graphics (not saying Popn has *bad* graphics, they're just definitely an acquired taste)

One of the Madoka song is indeed Connect, the other being Magia
Same for Bakemonogatari, there is the usual Kimi no Shiranai Monogatari, the second being Staple Stable
(Chuunithm's staff was pretty proud of Magia and Staple Stable as its the first time they appear in any music game, unlike the other 2 songs)
