is it my modem?

I was online and some how when I was online, I couldn't visit anysite but my internet provider, which is Charter. I only can visit Charter.com and Charter.com

The modem keep going off and on, so you think I should buy my own or keep renting a modem from my internet provider?

If you prefer me getting my own modem, what cable modem comes with a build-in router?
Using the router to connect to my laptop and PSP.

Yes, the internet is working now and sometimes it doesn't.

How often does your internet mess up? if it's only once in a while, I wouldn't worry about it. It's pretty normal for your internet to mess up a little no matter what your service. I often (Meaning once or twice a month) have situations where I can access the internet, but cannot use any kind of instant messaging service and vice versa.

If it's happening frequently, I'd contact your ISP and tell them about the problem. They are probably the ones best suited to fix your problem.

K. it was happening 2 weeks already. Weird how it didn't messup when I got it on the first week.
I got my internet on Jan 17,2008.

I thought my dad hit the cable wire in the other room. The tech had to connect the wire from my sister's old room to my room , not sure why.


This old tech (before canceling bc forgot to take money out to pay for install fee) he tried to make me pay 85.55 and that the 20.00 will pay for my internet service for this month.

The new tech guy told me that they will give me 3 weeks to pay 20.00 and that the old tech don't know what the hell he talking about. hehe

anyway, you know any good cable modem that has a built-in router?

Well, I don't know any specific models or anything, but my modem is a Westell and it works pretty good.

I found out the problem was. My firewall was blocking it but weird how the firewall didn't even ask me if I want to block it or not.

By the way, I was trying to get on PSP too with it. hehe
